G Analytics Appears to Show Bing but not Yahoo Paid Traffic
-
I am running ads across Bing / Yahoo network. I have set up a unique destination URL for these Bing / Yahoo Ads, using Google Campaigns URL Builder. However, in Google Analytics it appears to keep showing as organic traffic from Yahoo. What may be going wrong here?

It may be that some of your destination URLs aren't tagged with the utm parameters. I forget if you can do it in Bing, but I know in Adwords you can set destination URLs on keywords or placements as well, which will override ad destination URLs, so you may need to check on all of those and make sure they're all tagged properly.

thx, John. I appreciate this. I do not care for knowing Yahoo vs Bing CPC breakdown. However, right now I may in BingAds account see 100 clicks whereas Google analytics may show 70 clicks. So, 30 clicks get included in either Yahoo or Bing organic. I used the Google URL Campaign Builder and have those URL's as destination URL's in the BIng Ads.
I just went to Yahoo and clicked on 1 of my ads: the coded URL (I guess what is called "UTM parameters" based on what you say) is indeed the landing page.
I have called Bing: they say "we don't know about Google" and I have called Google and they say "We don't know about Bing"......

In Bing ads, you can't pick to target only Bing or only Yahoo, you have to target both at once. Because of this, knowing how Yahoo performs vs. Bing isn't really actionable. Someone has set this up in Google Analytics by setting up a separate profile and adding a filter (see here) if you're really interested to see the breakdown.
When you click one of your ads from Yahoo, are you seeing the utm parameters on the resulting URL? If so, then there shouldn't be a Yahoo-specific problem. If you're using something like utm_source=Bing on the destination URL, then all of your Bing/Yahoo paid search will be bucketed under Bing in your GA reporting.

Do IP and/or DNS changes impact Paid search (Adwords, Bing, etc.)
What impact (if any) does IP or DNS changes, have on paid search campaigns? We recently performed an upgrade to our sites that required a datacenter change (but within the same region East US) and DNS change. We believe there may have been an impact to our ad campaigns in the form of suppression of our ads following the change, specifically - Google Adwords. Is there any information regarding this issue or has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

Adwords and Analytics Conversion Tracking within Adwords
I am trying to decide whether to setup conversion tracking in Adwords using the website/page as a source, or Analytics. I do understand the (basic) difference, however in tossing up the pro's and con's of each I would be grateful for some input. The advertiser is in the (offline) retail and service industry and so conversions being tracked include completing a form, making a booking etc - so it is no problem to implement the tracking snippet. My gut instinct is that Analytics is not as accurate as a reflection as the webpage (due to the way it records only the last conversion). Would it be a mistake to use both? (my concern is that double clicks will be recorded)

Google Analytics Offline Conversions
Hi All, I've been searching the net for this for a while now and haven't found any suitable solutions. I'm looking at a way of importing conversions into Analytics. For a business I work with there is currently a split between Contact Form Submissions (we can track) Mobile Website Calls (we can track) Offline Calls (visit the website via AdWords and pickup the phone) We currently record all call data so we can see just how many calls we are getting from the campaign, and we take notes on keywords and time of call. So manually we can figure out the conversion rate. I was wondering if there was a way to mark certain visits as conversions manually? I'm pretty sure there isn't, but figured this would be the best place to ask! Thanks in advance!

AdWords/Analytics Paid Search conversions not matching up - any idea why?
Hi all, Any ideas as to why AdWords and Analytics are showing different Paid Search conversion numbers for me when I check on a daily basis? Both accounts are linked, they share the same destination URLs to trigger a conversion, some days each reflects the same amount of conversions, then some days it's anything from 1-5 conversions different (Analytics is always the one to show more). Thanks M

SEMRush Ads Traffic Price VS their PDF report
I am running a report on a website trying to find their advertising budget online (or at least what I can find and have access to). When I type in the URL and look at the overview section it has the "Ads Traffic Price" at around $2,000/mo. But when I do a full PDF report it has the price at over $11,000/mo for Google USA. What am I missing? Doing wrong? Which is accurate? I'm pretty sure they spend quite a bit more than $11,000/mo in general as they were recently bought by Google and are owned by people from Apple. How do I get the mots accurate estimation in general? Or at least on SEMRush?

Google Ads not showing
Hello, I am having some trouble with my google adwords. I decided to split my existing campaign into two campaigns, one for customers in the UK and one for the rest of the world. The keywords are the same - only the message is different. i.e. Tractor Parts Free UK shipping on Tractor parts mysite.com/tractor-parts & Tractor Parts Fast shipping to Europe from the UK mysite.com/Tractor-Parts According to Google Adwords my UK campaign has had no impressions and no clicks. However if I search for one of the keywords it appears in the search results with the UK text. Anyone got any ideas?
