Does this popup get crawled?
-
Hi,
We have a popup on our site that shows examples of different trash cans that can be used for the bags we sell.
Here's an example of a page that has the "common cans popup" http://www.plasticplace.com/3-gallon-high-density-6-mic-17x18-clear-trash-bags (This is a screenshot of where to click: http://screencast.com/t/8AvoktAcXtM)
Is this content crawled by google? This is how it looks in our source code: view-source:http://www.plasticplace.com/gallon-size/20-30-gallon-trash-bags (start at line 913)
Thanks!

Thanks Federico for the quick response!

Yes, those "pop-ups" are crawled. Search engines are already smart enough to interpret lightboxes just fine, which is the name of that kind of "pop-ups".

How to get a mobile thumbnail image next to the search result?
Hey! I noticed the last few months that a lot of google searches now show an image next to your result when on mobile. i managed to get my listing to show an image before but I made some changes to the image and site and can’t seem to get Google to ahow the new image (or any image). I’ve added the image to schema mark up and still no luck. Wouod ahyone have any advice on how to get the image picked up, or st least help increase the odds? The site is https://tourstoniagarafalls.com and you can see it on search (for me it shows on the bottom of page 1) for the keyword “Niagara Falls tours“. Thanks again!

Crawl Diagnostics Updates
I have several page types on my sites that I have blocked using the robots.txt file (ex: emailafriend.asp, shoppingcart.asp, login.asp), but they are still showing up in crawl diagnostics as issues (ex: duplicate page content, duplicate title tag, etc). Is there a way to filter these issues or perhaps there is something I'm doing wrong resulting in the issues that are showing up? Ryan

Why would meta description text get added to the meta HTTP-EQUIV tag?
For one of my clients, the people coding the site added the meta description content to the HTTP-EQUIV tag as part of the "name" attribute. Curious if anyone has seen this practice before?! I notified them that the description meta tag was not coded properly -- the search engines do not interpret the "name" attribute and the text that is in it. Anyway, It looks like: **<meta http-equiv="<a class="attribute-value">Content-Type</a>" content="<a class="attribute-value">text/html; charset=utf-8</a>" name="... <a class="attribute-value">and services. ... .</a>" />**
