I'm using Canonical URL but still receiving message - Appropriate Use of Rel Canonical
-
Hello,
I checked my site and it looks like everything is setup correctly for canonical url but I keep getting the message that it's not.
Am I doing something wrong?
SORRY I FIGURED IT OUT! THANK YOU! HOW DO I DELETE THIS?
-
It's just a notice, saying "hey, this is here, take a look and make sure all is OK"
-
Then I think I m fine , I use canonical for all pages. But still MOZ giving suggestion that you might have canonical issue.. may be just warning I think...
-
Those two pages look fine. Are those pages showing up as an issue in your Moz crawl?
-
All you need is to add rel="canonical" href="" /> to your head section. What sort of issues are you having?
-
I m getting same issue. if you can share ,how did you correct .. will be helpful ..

Should you do on-page optimization for a page with rel=canonical tag?
If you ad a rel=canonical tag to a page, should you still optimize that page? I'm talking meta description, page title, etc.

Number of internal links and passing 'link juice' down to key pages.
Howdy Moz friends. I've just been checking out this post on Moz from 2011 and wanted to know how relevant it is today? I'm particularly interested in a number of links we have on our HP potentially harming important landing page rankings because not enough 'link juice is getting to them i.e) are they are being diluted by all the many other links on the page? (deeper pages, faqs, etc etc) It seems strange to me that as Google as has got more sophisticated this would still be that relevant (thus the reason for posting). Anyway, I thought I was definitely worth asking. If we can leverage more out of our on-page efforts then great 🙂

Changing existing URL's to improve SEO
Here's a general question: At what PR/page rank (or Moz 'page authority') would you no longer change an existing URL that's cryptic to one that includes the related page keyword or at least relevant terms? Does using a 301 redirect to the new URL preserve the page rank? Thanks!

What are the benefits of the URL meta tag?
We have too many meta tags and want to get rid of all the outdated ones. However, we don't want to eliminate valuable meta tags by mistake. So, before we say goodbye to the URL meta tag, we want to make sure we understand the pros and cons, if any. By the way, we are not referring to canonical URL tags, just URL as in:

Using content for cliche' terms, or content found on other sites
howdy, I have a basic question about using content found on other websites for your own use. I have started a pick up lines website for guys to search for pickup lines to use on girls. Anyways, my website has many, if anything a lot, of the same exact pick up lines as all my competitors are using. If I use the same pick up lines found on their site could i be penalized for this as far as SEO? thanks and hope to hear back
