SEO for new product at the market
-
Hi everyone,
Imagine you are a book store owner and there is a new book which is going to be released next month. What would you do to rank for queries such as:
- And the Mountains Echoed
- And the Mountains Echoed book
Of course, this book has been already released but think as it not.
Thanks.

It's likely that your competition is going to be a mix of large book sellers, online outlets, the author's or publishing house's pages or sites, review sites (after the book is released - and this can include major newspapers and magazines). You can get a good idea of who these are actually going to be by looking at the author and publishing house and searching for books they've published in the past. What do those SERPs look like?
Getting in first with a landing page on a good website is a good piece of the battle, so definitely create your pages about the book early. If there are press releases or interest from readers in the lead-up to the release, your site should be one of the only resources ranking early if you get in before the big retailers and newspapers. Amazon is particularly strong for some book queries, but Google would ideally prefer to rank diverse websites (not three or four Amazon URLs on the first page, which I have seen happen for book names).

Backlinks!
Kidding aside, I would start with understanding the power of your domain vs the current competition.
If your domain authority is quite good vs the current competition, then internal linking and great on-page content will help you rank for those terms and it's variations easily.
If the competition is much more advanced in terms of SEO, then I would launch different campaigns to link back to that page in advanced. For example, an infographic (a great one) detailing and "preselling the plot" somehow. I would then market that and you'll get a lot of good links to your landing page.
Ill also make sure that landing page is quite unique and it can also be a cause for people to link to it.

Should I use RSS Feeds for SEO Purposes?
Hello... I am wondering if RSS feeds are good for SEO purposes... If i have a blog on my e-commerce site that links back into my site, should i then submit my feed to a bunch of RSS feed sites? Please tell me if i should be submitting my feed to all the RSS Feed Blog directories i can find or if that will appear as though i'm trying to gain links in the wrong way, from Google's perspective. For example: http://www.feedage.com/ http://www.feedlisting.com/ .... just to name a few of the directories i've found Thanks

SEO baklink tracking
Is there an easy way, through passing variables in a URL, to track the links from a specific blog post? I am looking into using a query on the Google search that would return a list of the site that have been indexed that link using that specific query. Thanks!

PPC Landing pages and SEO landing pages query
We do a fair amount of work on PPC and because of this a lot of our PPC landing pages also do quite well in SEO. We are thinking that the landing pages do well because they get a lot of traffic from PPC and therefore, maybe google can index and take note of these pages quicker? The pages that usually shoot right up the rankings are new pages used for long tailed keywords. So I have a few questions: Does the traffic from PPC actually have any effect on SEO rankings? If we were to create a page that was to act solely as an SEO landing page, would google take note if there was no traffic? Would simply linking from our main site to the landing page be enough to give it a bit of authority, in which we can build upon? Thanks in advance.

What to do with a new good looking site?
With a new site comes new challenges. We have recently finished one of our clients websites in the Retirement (financial) field. www.retirementireland.ie In my opinion the site is looking good, fast loading(very little js, optimized images) and good SEO structuring. As being a new site i feel like the decisions taken now are crucial. If SEO is done properly could save a lot of time. If not would take us a while until we get 1-5 positions for retirement, retirement options, retirement planning, retirement ireland. Any thoughts on existing design / structure / content. Any extra suggestions are welcome.
