How to find competitor links
-
I see in the links report that my competitor has x amount of external links. How can I see what these links are? When I go to tools the report returns blank.

Hi there,
Spencer has it right - to analyze the backlinks of your competitor, simply pop the URL of your competitor into Open Site Explorer and you can see all the link metrics for that domain.
The reason your own link reports might be empty are if your website is new or if it has no backlinks itself that our crawlers have found. If you had links that we have metrics on, they would show here. But note that these are your links, and not your competitors. Again, you can use Open Site Explorer to see your competitor links.
I can definitely see how this might be confusing. I'll add a note for our product and engineering teams to suggest ways to make this more clear and easy to use!
Thanks for writing in!

I would start by looking them up in opensiteexplorer which is a Moz tool. This will give you a majority of your competitors links. If you want a more in depth breakdown then I would look at https://ahrefs.com/ and https://www.majesticseo.com/ but you're only going to get a snapshot without a paid subscription for those.

Why does the MOZ bar not work on SERPs with site links?
Maybe a dumb question (am a beginner), but MOZ bar shows no information on SERP results with site links? I'm sure there's a reason? What is it?

High total links, but very few root domains?
Hi Moz community!I've just joined and am getting to grips with SEO basics. Right now, I'm looking at the Competitive Link Metrics in Moz Pro, and I'm curious about the following- Of the three competitors that we're following, I'm trying to figure out some differences between two of them - we'll call them A and B. 'A' has 3.6k external followed and total links, with 5 total linking root domains. 'B' (a more prestigious and established company with a much higher DA) has 2.2k total external links, with 180 root domains. So my question is, how can A have nearly 1,000 more links, but only from 5 domains? Any feedback much appreciated! Thanks!

Can I use 2 Moz Campaigns to Track more than 3 Competitors?
I would like to track 6 competitors for a new client, maybe short term, maybe long term. Can I set up 2 Moz Campaigns for the same client using the same keywords only with different competitors?

Key words-competitors
Hi guys- I am new to Moz. I am looking for a tool which can let me know which keywords my competitors are ranking for. I want to know both for knowing which keywords I should be doing a better job with and which keywords I am missing overall. My site is www.canadianbullionservices.com and am interested only in Canadian competitors. Thanks Jamie

Is there a way MOZ can help me get HQ links?
I'm new to MOZ, I'm on the niche sites building. Is there an easy way to find HQ pages to post to with MOZ? Like it's with Market samurai.

Mozbar highlight links in firefox
I use Mozbar to check for nofollow links on any website. Recently I changed from Chrome to Firefox and it appears that the link highlight function is behaving different on the latter.

On a page with nofollow in the robot.txt links are highlighted both when selecting nofollowed (pink) and followed (green) links. In Chrome it used to highlight only the nofollow links (as is correct in this case) Did anyone notice this behaviour too? Seems like a bug.0
