Event Tracking on GTM 2.0

I have created new account in google tag manager 2.0 Now can any body help me how to track event in GTM 2.0?
Like example this is the site - flipkart(dot)com if you little bit scroll down then there is 3 tab ( pfa of snapshot) - 1) new arrivals 2) Men's Bestsellers 3) Women's Bestsellers.
So i want to know that if anyone click on tabs or button given above then 1) what steps to do in tag manager then 2) what changes i have to update on my site and 3) where to check in google analytic on which tab visitor has clicked.
Please tell me tracking and code for only above given 3 buttons. As on web i am very confused looking lots of post.

I do not believe that rules as a term still exist. It has been renamed as triggers.

Thanks for putting your input, your post is really fantastic and very helpful to non technical person but as you know i am using GTM 2.0 so i stucked at Label level as there no selection of {{element url}} and 2nd thing i cant see Rule in GTM 2.0?
Can anyone share there views or post for new version of GTM 2.0?

I followed this little GTM Event guide from Sparkline... it allowed me to tag click events for internal and outbound clicks using Googles universal analytics with the GTM setup.
So far the events are being picked up nicely in my analytics event logs.
Might be work looking into and hope it helps.

Sorry this is not the answer which i am looking. There is no such campaign nor any i need any url builder, i am looking for if anyone click on tab or button then how to configure in gtm and how to check on analytic ?

Hi Everyone, Is there a tool that can change the phone number on a web page based on the visitor source (i.e., direct, organic, paid, etc.)? I'd like to implement a solution like this with different call tracking numbers based on the visitor source. We use the Google suite for our analytics (GA, GTM, Google Data Studio, Google Optimize is also an option as well). - Also, is there a good call tracking service that will ping a URL each time the phone number is called so that we can track these calls as events in GA? Does Universal Analytics auto generate events?
Hi Mozzers, I have been noticing for one of my clients that there are thousands of events generating which I never added a code snippet for ga('send', 'event', 'button', 'click', 'nav buttons', 4);. The code I am seeing instead is following the syntax **PDF FILE NAME.**I don't even use Tag Manager. So are these auto generated? Label names of files aren't great though so I still believe that adding that piece of snippet _ga('send', 'event', 'button', 'click', 'nav buttons', 4);_can still bring some added value. Do you think it still does? Thanks!

Looking at the section: Conversions > Goals > Overview - does Google Analytics provide real time / same day metrics for this conversion data or does it take 24 hrs?

Cross Domain Tracking in GA (without cross domain links)
Hi everyone, Been doing some research about cross-domain tracking in Google Analytics (preferably Universal Analytics where documentation is a bit spare). All of the tutorials focus on the auto-linking and ensuring links to the other site are taken care of. I'm considering a site that may not cross-link like that at all (or it may, but won't be the main avenue). A good example is: www.gap.com

www.oldnavy.com Now, they do link to the other brands in their navigation but let's pretend that they don't necessarily do that. Gap Corporate may want to roll up all these domains into a single reporting profile because customers can clearly visit any of those sites on their own and buy. It would be nice to know that Visitor X bought 2 items from gap.com and 3 from oldnavy.com... and of course, here were their campaigns, etc. From what I am reading, I am not sure this is really possible. It seems that the cross-domain code is really only best for when my main site links to another domain for checkout or something. But in my example, we are definitely not in control of that kind of behavior. Thoughts? Perhaps I need to recommend they go with subdomains only which Universal GA seems to handle quite fine out of the box. Thank you!0 -
How to track click on phone number on mobile device in GA as a goal?
Hi, I work with a lot of physicians and one of the things I'd like to do is add a goal in GA so we can try to track how many visitors are clicking the phone # to call the office from smartphones. Would doing this be as straight-forward as adding a the standard javascript click text that I'd add for an external link? And Is there a way to make a goal only "count" if the user-agent is a smartphone? Because if I attach the JS to the phone #, it's going to be in all of the HTML regardless of which device is used. Unless of course, I mess with the CSS to only make the javascript code appear on certain stylesheets. Thank you!

Looking for a Drupal module to track conversions...
I don't use drupal very often, so I'm looking for some help. We manage two sites in drupal, and the way they are set up, it creates a new thank you page every time someone fills out a contact form. The thank you page displays the information that was entered, so I assume it is necessary to create a page to do this (this was set up before I came on board). What I'm trying to do is track conversions in analytics by thank you page, but because a different node is created for every page, it makes things really difficult. My guess is that there's some kind of module or shortcut that could make this easier. Do any of you know of something, or preferably, is there something you're using that you'd endorse? Cookie tracking in Google Analytics
Hi How do I remove the "/?__utma=...." at the end of my URLs?We have a site http://www.jetonline.co.za/, if you click on one of the menu navigation links i.e. "fashion". A long "/?__utma=...." url appears. I understand this is for tracking as we have separate domains for each page but is there a way to remove this dynamic url and keep it hidden from users?Thanks in advance
