Image alt attribute - keyword stuffing?
-
If on the page (blog post) there is a lot of images and they all have the same alt attribute - is it keyword stuffing?

Patrick Sexton is a pretty well known "tool" dude in the SEO world - I think if I remember correctly, he was David Mihm's original partner for the getlisted puppy...
That said, give this URL a try to one of his great online tools to audit EVERY image on a webpage and show you what needs attention when it comes to SEO for images...

Agreed!
It is always best practices to avoid keyword stuffing. Be sure to set each image alt attribute to describe the image itself. This will allow both search engines and visually impaired users of your website to be able to understand the description of the image. Might sound silly but my mother is visually impaired and may be looking for your site right now.
Best of luck!!

The alt attribute helps Google and other search engines understand what the image is about. Here is a nice article from Google about image publishing guidelines
I doubt you would see a penalty from something like this, as there are plenty of websites out there with poorly optimized images, but at the same time you are not doing your on-page SEO score any favors. Is it a make or break item? No, but at the same time I'm sure you could correct the entire page in a manner of a few minutes

Hi
Your alt tag should aim to describe what the image is, be careful of using them purely for SEO purposes. Keyword stuffing should always be avoided if possible. Just keep them short and natural to what the image is, this will help you avoid any penalties from Google.

Hello, i have a question about keywords in Single page website. For how many keywords should i focus in single page website? For example: In my industry are important 2 different keywords - cabinet making and **made to measure furniture. **Should i focus on both keywords or its better to pick better keyword and focus only for that one (of course including different forms of that word and so on). How reliable is GWT's keyword data & what is the most accurate way of determining keywords you currently rank for?
I have been monitoring the query data (keywords, average position, CTR, etc.) in GWT, but sometimes the ranking data seems off. I filter the dates for the past week, so it is the most recent. I manually check some of the rankings and they are way off. Does anyone have feedback on this? If you have access to multiple domain data, that would be great. What is the most accurate way of determining keywords you currently rank for? I have also used keywordspy, and that is off too!

Alt. Tags
How many alt tags should you aim for per page, or Images? Anytime I complete a page I run it through SEOmoZ Page analysis, and usually shoot for an "A", I also look at our competitors to see how many alt tags they are using, and they always have 2-3 per page with keyword inserted. For example If I was aiming for EX. NFL tickets how could I incorp. this into more than 1 image having the keywords on the page without stuffing. Our editor give us the option to put Image Description & Title. Thx

Different pages with same keyword phrase.
I have my home page and an interior page targeting the same keyword phrase. Is this ok or would they be competing with each other?

Stop List and Keywords
I've came across a suggested list of words that google will ignore in your content, if this is correct and one of our main keywords is one of those words, will it lose effectiveness? We are trying to get #1 SERP for "Self Tan" and it seems "Self" is one of the words ignored - so should we just be focusing on Tan? Any tips / advice would be great!
