NAP: Best practices on your website?
-
My store currently has 2 location and will soon have 3. I was wondering what the best practice for listing your address information on a website.
I currently have all 3 listings on one page, but would like to have a separate page for each location (to include managers and specific location info).
My question is what is the best practice for listing locations on a website (for SEO)? Should I have a landing page with all 3 and their NAP info then have a link to the specific page with the same NAP info. Would having that info twice be a negative?

Hi Nathan,
I second Richard's statement. It's a very good idea to build out individual landing pages with contact information. It's even better to include Schema markup, at least for the NAP. And lucky you! There's markup that relates directly to a furniture store as a local business.
To get started with the markup, you'll want to look at the code examples at the bottom of the local business page. That should give you a solid idea how you should structure the markup. Then you can see if your markup checks prior to pushing live via the Google Structured Data Testing Tool.
Here's another reference via Moz in regard to on-site local considerations.

You have the right idea. Have a separate page for each with their own NAP and link your Google My Business listings to each location page.

What do you do for U-NAP distribution for two business within the same building?
I have a hotel that has a restaurant within its building. Both the hotel and restaurant are owned and managed by the same group. There was a proposal to create a U-NAP distribution for the restaurant itself. Should there be any concerns regarding a U-NAP issue with the hotel given that they share the same physical address and the same URL? The Restaurant has it own landing page within the domain. It does not have building specific identifier like a suite number. Please advise if a U-NAP distribution for the restaurant will cause a material impact on the Hotel's U-NAP purity.

How do I best optimize a video for a client's name?
Hello everyone, I have a client who is obsessed with his videos being indexed directly under his site. We've already labeled his videos with his names, enhanced the meta data to the video to include his name, have added his website to his YouTube Channel, and also have synced his Google Plus Business Page with his YouTube Channel. Any other tips to further optimize his videos with his name? This is a new channel, with an age of only 2 weeks- but this client is being quite loud, and thought I would see if any Moz'ers have any other tips/ suggestions? Thanks Everyone! -Kristin

From a local perspective, if the legal name of the business is "Rising Realty, Inc", when you added in your footer should I loose the "Inc" part to be consistent with all the other mentions of the business across the web, which are without "Inc"? Thank you!

Is a website with no images really a good idea?
I have a client who doesn't want to use any images at all on her website. It's a local hvac service provider. This thought has never even crossed my mind before. Who wouldn't want pictures? I know image optimization is important, and my mind keeps telling me that images are important for a good site and good user experience, but are they really necessary? I want a second opinion before I advise against not using any images.
