* Google Places - "More About This Place" Section
-
How often does Google update the "more about this place" section on a Google Places page?
I have updated the company NAP on all the directories, added company information to multiple sites (using Google Discussions as a starting point), added backlinks, etc. Still, the "more about this place" section remains the same (over 2 months without updates).
That section still cites our old website which is petmedicalcenter.vetsuite.com, even though our new website http://www.petmedicalcenter.com has been live for 3 months.
Would it be better to wait for these updates or delete the page and completely start over?
Thanks for your help!!

This might be your issue...
Do this site search in Google: site:www.petmedicalcenter.vetsuite.com
Google still has about 112 pages in its index from your old site, all with "Pet Medical Center of Las Vegas" in the title tag, and an address in the description. Maybe of these still pages from the old site are still in the cache. AND there are no 301 redirects at all pointing to your new site.
So there lies the issue I think. You may want to see if it is possible to 301 redirect all the old pages to their corresponding new pages. If this is not possible technically, you need to do a domain forward to the new domain.

That is a tough decision to make, but i would suggest that your best couse of action would be clicking the little "inform google about an error on this page" link on the places page and just waiting it out. A big part of what means anything in local optimization is the age of the places page, so you do not want to throw that away.
Also, from what i have read and heard from other SEO's the whole "more about this place" getting citations added to it is happening a LOT slower than it used to. We have over 100 citations out there for each of our locations and probably only 10-15 appearing on each of our places pages after over 1/2 a year of having them out there.
Patience is a virtue in this game. While you wait for those citations to happen why not focus on garneshing a handful of reviews on all the sites that google picks up reviews from. I have seen google suddenly recognize a citation after finding a review attached to it on qype.co.uk and i'm sure it happens with other sites as well like yelp.
Best of luck,

What Google+ URL to Take?
I could go with my Domain Name (/+tallahasseedefense) for simplicity sake and ease of remembering. However, would there be any SEO benefit to using a Google+ with both "Attorney" and "Tallahassee" in the URL (/+Casey&TorresAttorneysatLawTallahassee)? cna4R08

Multiple Google Places Accounts - Same Physical Location
Hi there, One of my clients is a local law firm. I have created, populated and verified a Places page for them, but now I have discovered that they had previously created one for each of their attorneys at that location. According to Google's quality guidelines, this is totally fine. However, I am wondering if I should try to verify each of these accounts within Places to enhance their listing coverage? One thing I've already tried is modifying some of the listing details via Map Maker, but it would be nice to just make edits en masse, I think. Any suggestions?

How should I list my client in Google+?
My client is a personal injury lawyer with one office in a highly competitive major metropolitan area and another office in a very small town. They are changing offices in the major metropolitan area in June and will have a new address. They are already doing well in serps related to the small town but are nowhere to be found in the metropolitan area serps. Currently I can find unclaimed listings in Google+ Local for both offices. I cannot find any Google+ business page and they don't know of one. Given this information and the current state of Google+ how would you proceed to list this client? Specific questions include: *Would there be any straight SEO benefit of making a Google+ Business Page for them? *Would you claim the Google+ Local listing for the Metro office that is going to be moved in 5 months? or would you wait until the office is moved then create a new Google+ Local listing?

Adding panoramio to google places
I recently watched a webinar on seomoz that said that panoramio was great for local search and that you should upload photos into google places from panoramio. I have tried it several times and on several different computers and have got the same response: We are unable to store your image at this time. Does anyone know why this is? Thanks. David

Google Places
Hi everyone, I accidentally added a google place account for a client that had already an existing account. Could you tell me if I delete the new account if it will affect the existing one? If deleting isn't good what should I do? And what are the different risks if there are? Thank you,

Competition leaving bad reviews on our places page, what to do?
I have flagged the reviews as not useful from multiple IPs. I have attempted reporting the review as well. Google does nothing. It's very obvious that the review(s) are fake. Often all the other reviews of the person's profile are for different cities and all 5 stars for businesses that they are most likely doing SEO work for. Are (blackhat) SEOs using bad reviews as a technique to keep the competition out in your business/market? What did you do about it?
