Twitter and SEO
-
Hey Moz folks,
I would like your input on this matter: Twitter recently made a new agreement with Google regarding the SEO & their Tweets. At the moment I have 12 different websites across 12 different markets and I`d like to know how could I use Twitter for all markets, so I can get the most out of the new deal between Twitter and Google SEO wise. If I create 12 different accounts for all my 12 websites and create tweets for all of them, it would really be a very time consuming process, but on the other hand if I only use 1 account how can I target multiple websites ?
Let me know what do you think.
Thanks,
Andrei

Unfortunately that's probably a question better answered by somebody else. I'm not well versed in Twitter when you start talking about different languages/countries, etc. I'd say that's okay, but you may save time by just trying out your content/social strategy in one language first.
There's a lot going on there (customs, cultural differences) these audiences could be vastly different as far as what makes them tick and what makes them likely to engage. Like I said, you're probably better off having someone else chime in on that.
Sorry! Good luck, though.

Great reply Brady,
I totally agree, good things take time:-). My main issue here is that I have 12 websites in 12 different languages and I would like to incorporate Twitter for all of them, but it will take a lot of time and resources to create content for all languages. In a case like this, should I only create content for 1 language, translate that content in different languages and than tweet it using 12 different Twitter accounts ?
I appreciate your answer.
Thanks,
Andrei

There's a lot here, but I'd like to address the overall strategy here. Just know and keep in mind the new Twitter/Google agreement is nice, but it's an incredibly small slice of the SEO pie, if you will.
Building a twitter following by delivering legitimate content to a relevant audience is great - and yes, could be featured prominently in SERPs - but don't hop on twitter for that. It won't work. I'd develop a larger social media, content marketing, and branding strategy first to solve the problem of getting the brand/company name out there and building followers.
The impact you're looking for will come naturally then. But it's a long term strategy that takes discipline and time. There's no quick win here. Just my two cents.

Is it worth keeping google+ for seo purposes?
Hi My company has a Google+ page with about 3000 followers and very little engagement. We are considering deleting this page as it is not worth the effort of us creating content and posting on here for the little engagement we get. Do you think this would impact our SEO in any way? Thanks Emily

SEO wise - what is the impact of Avatar on a blog
Hi all, At the moment we are at the verge of building finally a blog. For SEO purpose I demanded that it would include social interactions with Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and some more. Especially Google+ for the authorship part. But now they come asking me if they can work with Gravatar http://www.gravatar.com/support/what-is-gravatar/ - a Globally Recognized Avatar. I never worked with it before and can't find anything if it will negatively impact SEO on authorship - but I'm still not sure. Does the Gravatar interfer with Google+ authorship?

I could find information about having to setup the author part in the Gravatar, but this doesn't give me the answer if this helps with Google+. If anybody has experience of can tell me / point me in the right direction it much appreciated. Or maybe having a better solutions than the Gravatar.0 -

Facebook 'SEO', Likes and Fans
I spent a bit of time this morning combing Google looking for some documentation on SEO for Facebook, specifically the value of 'likes', when liking one's status, how that effects the visibility of a given post and basically the criteria for creating whatever they deem a post to have gone 'viral'. I'm convinced there has to be some answers for my first two questions... ....somewhere. Likewise, I can appreciate if there's nothing available to answer my third question pertaining to 'viral criteria'. Nevertheless, if anyone has any resources/documentation that could provide me some insight into how FB interprets 'likes', how an increased number of 'likes' may lead to greater visibility and (more or less) the mechanics of how this interacts with the entire Facebook structure, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for reading, I look forward to the responses!

"So how many twitter users use the #FF" It a blunt but legit question & one I couldnt answer right now. So my question is please... Hi Mozzers, Quick question, Does anyone know of a tool that can search Twitter bios for a URL then match the URL to the asscoiated twitter handle? What's affect more SEO between number of Facebook "Recommend" of number of fans of the facebook fan page?
I'm wondering what's the most important number in facebook that affect more the SEO of a site: It is the number of "Recommend" that your site have received or It is the number of fans the facebook fan page of the site have? Also does this really affect SEO or not? If you can provide some data, statistics, link to post or whatever it would be very nice. Thanks for your help
