Hi Luis
You can't force a search engine to update your backlinks sooner. It's just not going to happen. They crawl at the rate they crawl and you sort of have to live with it.
One thing you can do, is update your sitemap in Webmaster Tools.
Google and search engines are usually pretty quick to crawl websites; if the website is low quality or has history of spam, they tend to not crawl those sites as often.
Keep in mind, the only way to get search engines to index your backlinks "quicker" is to submit or update your sitemap in Webmaster Tools and keep producing fresh content that the engines will keep coming back to check out. You will find backlink "pinging" services out there on the internet, but I do not trust these at all; too much risk in my opinion - I suggest you be extremely careful when you run across these services.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Reciprocal Backlinks
Hi all, We've just started looking into backlinks for our website, and we're...a bit overwhelmed to say at least. We thought the best way to start with backlinks is to reach out to our industry partners, and ask them to put a link to our website on theirs (in a blog, or a relevant page of course), as it's relevant for users. However, the question we almost always get is, can you do the same and link back to our website? How does google look at reciprocal links? We think they can be seen as a 'transaction of links' and not have as much link juice as links which aren't reciprocal. Is there any best practice for how to approach this? Thank you in advance. Diana

Backlink question
When I create a website for my clients, I always put our website link in the footer of the description, just to say 'powered by ieatdoorframes' with a link to our website. On SEMrush, its showing as a negative backlink with the reason 'compound', suggesting its a 'money term'. I add this link as I've had success getting new work from clients who like the site we built. I'm new to these terminologies and wondering what I should do?

Trading Backlinks a good idea?
New to the "backlinking" party. Wondering if its 'good practice' to trade links with other websites within a like-industry. We've been receiving a lot of emails from other websites asking us to trade links. Is this a good link building practice anymore? Thanks!

Articles / Balanced Profile
Hello SEOMOZ, I have a couple of questions that I am hoping you all can answer for me. 1. We have heard that having anchor text links in article directories that are identical actually hurts our rankings and is considered spam at this point. We have hundreds of articles posted to various article directories throughout the web with this consistent identical anchor text. If we go into these articles and change the anchor texts, will the search engines recognize this change and give us credit for the new varied anchor text or will the credit stay with the original anchor text the article was posted with? 2. From here on out if we write unique stories with different anchor texts pointing to our website pages is their any gain to it and additionally will this even out our link profile? Or are placing anchor text links in article directories not the way to go?

Trying to use the SEOmoz link building tools but...
all of the directories that are listed seem to be based in the US for US companies - am I missing something? By the way my target audience is solely based in the UK, Thanks, Jason
