Is Disqus comments useful as per SEO?
We have some comments on each of our pages and its time taking to moderate them, so wanted to know if its beneficial in any ways for SEO?

Umar's comment is very helpful.
What they say in the Disqus FAQ, is that page owners can synchronize comments with their website and store them locally on the page. Thus they are crawled by Google and benefit both page owner and the guest.
It means there is a high chance that your comments are indexed and beneficial.

I don't think it will hurt you from a SEO standpoint as long as you are staying on top of comments ensuring there is no spam or off topic comments. I would make sure that all links in comments are nofollowed (but give yourself to manually remove this if the content is trustworthy) and that they are relevant to the topic.
These sorts of things can potentially trip spam filters in algorithms, so too much of these items happening could hurt your SEO. As long as you are top of it, you should be fine - if anything, it will show you have integrity in making sure your site is providing a valuable experience.

Without a doubt, Disqus is a great comment tool and it's really easy to integrate and manage. If you look at their FAQ section, they claims that, it is SEO friendly (https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/1233994-common-questions-about-disqus).
In the past, Disqus was not friendly and you had to use Disqus API in order to get your comments indexed. But now, they have worked on this issue and it seems the comments are now easily indexed even if you're using the simple Disqus program.

Is using a H1 tag in a logo image bad for SEO?
We have brand logos on certain pages that have H1 tags in them - the H1 text being the brand's name, as this is what we'd want the title of the page to be. The logos are at the top of the page instead of a written title. But is this the best option for SEO? Do search engines value H1 tags in images as highly as a standard H1 tag?Would it be better for SEO to add an alt tag to the logo and add a separate H1 tag on the page that's also the name of the brand?

Phone number for SEO
We have had an interesting question from a client. They have asked if removing their phone number from their website would have an affect on their rankings. Our immediate answer was 'No' but it may affect the Brand, Usability and Customer experience by restricting the methods of contact. This then made us think that perhaps then it could have an effect in the long term. This situation is also complicated by the fact that they do not have a Google Local Plus account for operational, sensitivity reasons (they don't want to openly publicise their address) We believe that there shouldn't be any negative affect but thought we would open a discussion. How to use canonical with mobile site to main site
I am pretty sure that the mobile version of the main site needs to be the same canonical link from what I understand. I am trying to find good docuementation that supports this. Even better if its from Google or Matt Cutts. I have a main domain like http://www.mydomain.com the mobile version of this is http://www.mydomain.com/m/ Should my canonical be rel="canonical" href="http://www.mydomain.com"/> for both these pages?
