Increase conversion rate to buy
-
I am trying to understand why my women fashion site has a very low conversion, basically zero apart from some occasional sales (last one a few months ago)
There is a lack of organic traffic the to shop subdomain, but what worries me is that (email/social media) campaigns to existing clients who happily buy repeatedly from our brick and mortar store do not generate results, despite using promotion codes etc.
Before investing heavily in PPC campaigns etc, I'd like to improve conversion. Any advice on what can be improved ?
PD: link can be found in my profile.

Great tips. Optimizely is particularly strong at the testing stage.
It depends what depth/level of insight is required when it comes to behavioral insight (CX) tools for CRO. We have researched the market quite a lot
Crazy Egg, LuckyOrange, ClickDensity & Hotjar - focused towards SME's
SessionCam, ClickTale, IBM Tealeaf and Decibel Insight (our tool) - enterprise/corporate level (huge sites)
Be wary that many tools offer pre-generated reports and don't allow for a great deal of customization or segmentation. Also, they were built before responsive designs were a concept, so struggle with load times for tablet or mobile views when viewing heatmaps and session replays for example.

I think Patrick pretty much nailed it. My best advice is not to make changes on the website without testing them use tools like optimizely or Unbounce.
If you have a budget, my advice is to get recommendations from any CRO expert.
Hope this helps…

Hi there
Moz offers a great resource that can help you see how the conversion rate optimization process works and should be approached, from discovery to review.
You're going to want to collect your data, take an unbiased look at your website, make hypothesis on where the bottlenecks/pain points are in your website, and create a plan of potential tests you want to run to test those assumptions. Hotjar is a great tool for this.
Do not just start making changes to your website - test them. This is easily done with different tools, including:
Visual Website Optimizer
OptimizelyIf you are weary about this process or don't have the time and resources to do so yourself, you should look into a professional that has experience doing so. You really should talk to a professional to begin with, as you want to be making the right decisions based on the right data, and sometimes this can get overwhelming. Moz has a great list of companies you can reach out to for the process.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

When to determine that a change DIDN'T affect conversion rates
Hi everyone, Description of test: We're a lead gen site trying to add more value by providing users with real, live quotes after they submit a lead. However, we don't want showing the quotes to tank our lead conversion rates. So we're running a test where 50% of leads see quote results and 50% don't, and we compare the lead conversion rates for each. The best possible outcome is to show that showing the quotes DIDN'T negatively affect conversion rates. My issue: When do we conclude the test? In the end, we're hoping to see that the change didn't cause a statistically significant difference between the control and version B, which is the opposite of every other test I've ever run. So, at what point do we conclude that the changes in version B didn't have a significant effect on lead conversions? Currently the control is doing 5% better than the variation with a p-value of .379

How to track conversions from a third party email campaign?
Heyy.. New to the Moz community, first question so here goes! I'm going to be running an email campaign with an e-magazine and I want to know how to track conversions from the email they're sending out so I can monitor success/failure. I've found Google's URL builder:

Adwords shows clicks but no conversions in GA
Hi Folks, I was wondering if anyone has come across a similar situation, I have setup adwords campaigns and included these in my Google Tag Manager setup and deployed the GTM snippet to a clients site. In adwords I can see clicks (2,000+) however in Google Analytics I can see only a handful ot conversions. Is there anyway I can test/track a conversion to ensure that it is being processed and report correctly? Also within AdWords Conversion Tracking I have noticed that under the "Webpages" tab that pages other than the pages that should have the conversion code on them are listed. Have I setup my Adwords camapign or GTM tags incorrectly? Any and all feedback or insight would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Conversion Suggestions or Ideas
Late last year we did an overhaul of our website. We didn't change we did or what we sell just the format and overall look. What used to work for Adwords and Adcenter conversions doesn't seem to work as well on the new site. Any suggestions on where I should start to turn this around?

Huge Increase in Search Traffic - Expected Drop in Conversions?
We've recently implemented a successful strategy whereby we've increased non-branded organic search traffic by over 50%. We started with our niche products and secured those rankings and then expanded the program to include local results. Rev is up, trans# is up, but conversion rate dropped. Here is the question...is there an acceptable ratio between the percentage growth in visits and the percentage decrease in conversions?

Reviews not shown on google search & seller rating extensions (adwords)
Hello, we have 2 questions, regarding reviews from rating websites. 1. Reviews on google Search We have several reviews for our website www.theprintspace.co.uk from various rating sites (e.g. qype, yelp, remotegoat, etc.). When searching for theprintspace on google, only some reviews and only some rating website are shown, most are not. For qype, for instance, we have 8 reviews, but google only indicates that we have 3. The yelp reviews (and many others) are not shown at all. According to google, it takes a maximum of 2 months for the correct number of reviews to be shown on google, but the reviews have been online for over 2 months now. Is there any way this problem can be solved, so google shows the correct number of reviews? 2. Seller rating extensions on google adwords We would like the reviews to be displayed in our google adwords as a seller rating extension. These will include the merchant star rating for advertisers that are highly rated on Google Product Search. We are setting up a google merchant account to do so. Google says: "Ratings are based on the user reviews collected by Google Product Search, which aggregates reviews from a broad base of sources across the web, including Reseller Ratings, Bizrate, ReviewCentre.com and Viewpoints." Do you know if the following rating website are in google's "base of sources" and will thus be recognised and used in google adwords as rating extensions? Yelp Qype Scoot Remotegoat viewlondon tipped Or does google only source from big e-commerce rating websites? How do we get the ratings into our adwords? Thank you for your help!
