No PA and no DA and no back links.

Hello Friends,
I am having some problem in my website. I hosted this before 4 months. I have done some seo work related to back links. But when I see in opensiteexplorer than it does not show any back links even It shows 1 DA and 1 PA but why?

Hi there
Craig makes a great point here - always have second sets of data to reference when it comes to backlinks and site performance. Crawlers from one vendor can only do so much, and other vendors sometimes pick up what others are not.
Majestic and ahrefs are great, but also pay attention to Google Search Console, as those are the links that Google is seeing. If you want to give yourself an extra advantage, check out Kerboo - it scores your backlinks and also has a ton of great features to help you assess and maintain your profile.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Looking at "other" backlink checkers (e.g. Majestic, ahrefs etc.) I can see 15-22 referring domains. OSE sometimes takes a bit longer to get around to finding links etc. You can also check WMT to find link you may have created but cannot see.
It shows 1 DA & PA because it cant see the links. You have to give it further time for it to get around to it. As long as you know you created the links Google will find them and just make a note for your records.
Hope that helps.

Outbound Links
I have a page on upstrap-pro.com that provides weights of cameras and lenses. The user/buyer of my on-slip camera straps needs to know the weight his camera and lens to determine the proper pad size... large to small. We have put together a long list of the most popular customer cameras. The way it was done (by my daughter) was to also provide a via a link to dpreview.com which is an excellent site for camera information including specifications etc. My personal feeling about this is mixed. I can do it by having it open dpreview.com in a new tab but then the user/customer could still get distracted and go down the rabbit hole. On the other hand dpreview is such a good site that if they are new to photography and don't know about it, they should. I don't get a dime from dpreview. If fact I doubt they would ever link back to me because they do not write about camera straps. I hear mixed things about outbound links. In this file there are quite a few outbound links to dpreview to keep it consistent. I could do a nofollow on all of them but I read that this is the easy way out. Google is jump ball and I have no clue what Cutts and his merry men are going to decide is cool or not cool. I'd like some thoughts or options... Thanks... A small part of the file below. Cross links between sites
hi, We have several ecommerce sites and we cross linked 3 of them by mistake. We realize that the sites were linked through WMT, We have shut down 2 of the sites about 2 months ago, but WMT still shows the links coming from those 2 sites. how do we make sure that google will see the sites are shut down. Is there a better of way resolving this issue. We are no longer using those sites, so do not need them to be active. whats the best solution to show google that the links are no longer there. Crawler shows that it was able to crawl the site 45 days after it is shut down. thanks nick

Does HTTPS Affect Inbound Link Numbers?
Hi All, I'm dealing with an internal IT staff that is trying to change an entire site to run on HTTPS instead of HTTP. The way they want things configured, all links pointing to HTTP URLs would redirect to the HTTPS. I'm assuming this would adversely affect page rank/domain authority, etc... am I right there? Thanks, Ben

Anchor links percent
I really don't have a clue about how many internal anchor links are recommended for a page. I think it could be split into anchor text in the article content and also in the whole page. The article content: Only the unique content of this page The whole page: Everthing including menus, sitemap, etc. Does percent really matter? Could an excesive amount of anchor links diminish pagerank in the source page? Can google see an excesive amount of internal content links as spamming? Thanks 🙂 !!

Removing inbound Spam Links
Hello, Last February one of my clients websites was delisted. It turns out that some time ago that had attempted to launch a social network along time lines of ning. The project had fallen apart of the was still up. At some point spammers found it and started using it as part of a link farm. Once it was discovered, the subdomain it was posted on was removed and the website returned to search within 2 weeks. Last week, the website disappeared again OSE shows that in the last 2 months the website has got 2000 (There are about 16,000 total spam links) additional spam links now pointing and the root domain. On top of that, Google Webmaster Tools is reporting about 15,000 404 errors. I have blocked Google from crawling the path where the path were the spam pages used to be. If there a way to block the 1000s of inbound spam links?

External Sitewide Links and SEO
I have one big question about the potential SEO value -- and possibly also dangers? -- of "followed" external sitewide links. Examples of these would be: a link to your site from another site's footer a blogroll link a link to your site from another site's global navigation Aside from the link's position in the HTML file (the higher the better, presumably), are these links essentially the same from an SEO point of view or different (and how)? There used to be an influential view out there that the link juice value of a sitewide link was the same as that of a single link (presumably from the linking site's home page), even though a sitewide link may in fact result a huge number individual links. Is this true or false? What is the math here? Should one worry about having "too many" sitewide links, in the sense that this may raise red flags by way of the algo? I talked to someone a few months ago (before the recent algo updates) who believed that he had got a minus 10 penalty or whatever it was for getting too many sitewide links We offer website design and development as well as SEO, and we put a keyworded link to ourselves in the footer. I think this is a fairly common practice. Is this a good or bad idea SEO-wise? One opinion is that for external sitewide footer links, you should best have a dofollow link on the home page, but nofollow it on all other pages. What is your opinion about that? Is there anything else that is distinct, interesting or important about sitewide links' SEO value and pitfalls? Thank you!
