How to determine which keywords from a list trigger local 3 pack results, is there an automated way to do this?
-
Trying to discover which keywords from a larger list trigger the new 3 pack of local results. Would like to avoid checking this one keyword at a time.
-
As you said, Miriam, the geography factor seems to be the big issue. Thanks for chiming in.
-
Eric,
We've been using BrightLocal for quite some time. Good tool, but it doesn't have this particular feature...yet. Darren Shaw said they'd work on this.
As Miriam said in her response, the trouble is that this is triggered differently in different geographies.
-
Hi Aaron,
Good idea to check our Eric's suggestion, but the trouble here may be geographic. 3-Packs will be triggered by different search terms in different geographies. Not sure if a tool exists that can account for this.
-
Take a look into tools like Places Scout or BrightLocal. Those have some pretty good Local (pack) reporting features which could help you solve this problem. The monthly plans aren't too expensive, so if you have a ton of keywords to check they could be viable options for you.

Moz Local bulk upload US only
Moz Local has launched in the UK and I am currently using it to update my citations on one of my sites. I tried to upload a CSV with the rest of my citations but it claims Moz Local is US only and does not accept my Country Codes of UK or not having a State. Has anyone else had a similar problem or knows a work around? Thanks

Has anyone used Moz local for their clients?
If you already have accounts with some of the local directories can you still use Moz local or is it just for business who have never claimed their business? I'd like to offer this as a service to clients but they will see it's Moz local and just do it themselves. Anyone know if there is a branded version coming soon?

How does Moz Local work with business that don't have a physical location? (e.g., handyman, locksmith, etc.)
I'm wondering how Moz Local will handle a business that doesn't want to publicly display an address. A handyman, landscaper, or locksmith might want to do something like this. Is it easily handled or do you have to manually try to "work around" to hide the address on sites that let you? Thanks!
