TD*IDF analysis Tools
-
Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew of free TD*IDF analysis tools on the market?
I know about onpage.org and Text-tools.net both paid.
I was wondering if anyone knows of other tools?
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris,
I don't know of any free tools that do this unless you want to write some code yourself. If you go that route we have some open source libraries that you might find useful, especially qdr that implements the TF-IDF scoring and dragnet for parsing/cleaning the HTML. Good luck in your search!

Hi Chris,
It's not the TD-IDF solution you're after but may help? SEO Quake (available as a free Chrome plug-in: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/seoquake/akdgnmcogleenhbclghghlkkdndkjdjc) approximates some of this data for you.
It will show the most commonly recurring 1, 2, 3 and 4 word phrases appearing on a web page. It won't compare this to a corpus (e.g. your whole site). It then gives a Density % (broadly, how often this word/phrase appears) and a Prominence % (based around density but also where it appears: title, description, keywords etc.).
Hope that helps.

Google Search Console Tools Sitelinks
Question. If you wanted to use the Google Demote this sitelink URL - will another sitelink appear to replace it? There is a sitelink I feel doesn't belong and hoping another one that is beneficial appears. I understand Google has control of what appears. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/47334 Thanks.

Link Removal Request Sent to Google, Bad Pages Gone from Index But Still Appear in Webmaster Tools
| On June 14th the number of indexed pages for our website on Google Webmaster tools increased from 676 to 851 pages. Our ranking and traffic have taken a big hit since then. The increase in indexed pages is linked to a design upgrade of our website. The upgrade was made June 6th. No new URLS were added. A few forms were changed, the sidebar and header were redesigned. Also, Google Tag Manager was added to the site. My SEO provider, a reputable firm endorsed by MOZ, believes the extra 175 pages indexed by Google, pages that do not offer much content, may be causing the ranking decline. My developer submitted a page removal request to Google via Webmaster tools around June 20th. Now when a Google search is done for site:www.nyc-officespace-leader.com 851 results display. Would these extra pages cause a drop in ranking? My developer issued a link removal request for these pages around June 20th and the number in the Google search results appeared to drop to 451 for a few days, now it is back up to 851. In Google Webmaster Tools it is still listed as 851 pages. My ranking drop more and more everyday. At the end of displayed Google Search Results for site:www.nyc-officespace-leader.comvery strange URSL are displaying like:www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/wp-content/plugins/... If we can get rid of these issues should ranking return to what it was before?I suspect this is an issue with sitemaps and Robot text. Are there any firms or coders who specialize in this? My developer has really dropped the ball. Thanks everyone!! Alan |

Is it dangerous to use "Fetch as Google" too much in Webmaster Tools?
I saw some people freaking out about this on some forums and thought I would ask. Are you aware of there being any downside to use "Fetch as Google" often? Is it a bad thing to do when you create a new page or blog post, for example?

Webmaster Tools (Urgent)
So yesterday google webmaster tools has over 5,000 links linking to my site. I get in this morniing and now i have 16 links linking to my site and no rankings minus brand terms. I do not believe that I have been penalized but I might have been. After digging further into this it seems that my www.domain.com and domain.com are separated and webmaster tools is tracking www.domain.com and majority of links are to domain.com. Is this possible or am I wishing to see something that is not there. Any help and recommendations would be absolutely appreciated.

Do 410 show in the 404 not found section in Google Webmaster Tools?
Question: Do 410 show in the 404 not found section in Google Webmaster Tools? Specific situation: We got rid of an entire subdomain except for a few pages that we 301'd to relevant content on our main domain. The rest return a 404 not found. These show up in our google webmaster tools as crawl errors. I was wondering since 410 is a content gone error and we intentionally want this content gone, if we switch it to 410, does Google still report it as a 404 error? Thanks

Google's Structured Data Testing Tool? No Data
I'm stumped as to why some of the pages on my website return no data from Google's Structured Data Testing Tool while other pages work fine and return the appropriate data. My home page http://www.parkseo.net returns no data while many inner pages do. http://www.parkseo.net Returns No Data http://www.parkseo.net/citation-submission.html Does Return Data. I have racked my brains out trying to figure out why some pages return data and others don't. Any help on this issue would be greatly appricated. Cheers!
