A/B Testing Through Google Tag Manager
-
Hi
I have just started working on Google Tag Manager and trying to implement all important tags through Tag Manager only.
Can we also implement A/B Testing (Experiment in Analytics) through Google Tag manager.
-
Hi Ruchi,
Yes, you paste all the information about the different variants in the snippet that is provided.
-
Hi Martijin,
Thanks for your response. I have gone through the references those you shared and they are really helpful.I will follow them.
Can we also place the code generated in Experiment directly in HTML field of Google Tag manager. Will it work?
-
Hi Ruchi,
Yes you can, read the information you can find here on my Github profile: http://github.com/MartijnSch/cro or the more extensive blog post on this that you can find on LinkedIn. Happy to share more about the code if you have any questions on how to run it.

Referral issue in Google analytics
We have an eCommerce website that counts paypal as a referral source in Analytics. The site takes people to Paypal to make a payment and then back to the website to a Thank You page once that payment has been made. Due to this, Analytics sees this as a conversion that has come from Paypal, and also records it as a referral source, when we know this is not really the case. This also distorts the data in analytics and prohibits us from clearly seeing which channels sales have come from. Is there anyway in Analytics to include Paypal as a part of the website so that it does not record Paypal as a separate referral website?

Is Google doing anything about the spam referrer plague in Google Analytics?
My client manages 15+ websites and we have observed the spam referrer issue has gotten steadily worse and worse in the last few months. I took the time to weed out the worst offenders via traffic filters but our referral traffic source garden was quickly full of weeds again a few weeks later. Does anybody know what the Google Analytics development team is doing to combat the spam referrer issue? I find it quite amazing that Google goes through the asinine effort to block out organic keyword data ("not found" & "not provided) but they don't seem to care about blacklisting/filtering spam referrers. Google analytics - landing pages
Hello, I have a website and it contains landing pages. after tracking and analyzing the data in Google Analytics , I found out that the traffic for the whole site is affected by the visits to the landing page. I mean, the bounce rate is less than one minute. this is because users fill their details in the landing pages and leave my website. to improve my website, I need clear data about the traffic, bounce rate etc. in my website. I also need can you help me solve this problem I thought about create another account in Google Analytics and set it to my websites pages (not including the landing pages). and keep the current code for the landing pages. my question is regarding this: Is it legal to use 2 different GA code (each one of them belong to different account) in the same domain ? can you provide me with more information about Multi Account in Google Analytics, and how can I use it to divide the traffic in my website between the traffic and the data for the landing pages and for the website itself ?

Drop in google referral traffic
Hi guys, As we know, GA shows google as traffic source in two ways: google / organic for organic searches and google.TLD / referral for everything else: google groups, base.google.com, static pages, google reader, google image search, google search appliance/mini. What we noticed is that around Oct 20th there's a huge drop of google.TLD / referral traffic to our site. Do you experience something similar? I couldn't find anything Google-related that happened around this specific date. We use GSA for our site search and I'm wondering if this could be the reason - maybe someone from our development team made changes to GSA settings that affected this traffic source. Looking forward to hearing from you! Thanks.

Switching Blog to domain/blog... worth it?
So we have a great business. Let's say: Service.com. And years ago we launched a great blog. Let's call it ServiceDiscussion.com. So, both are PR5 sites. The BUSINESS gets about 50k page views a month. But the BLOG is getting about 100k page views a month. So, my question is... is it time to fold the blog into the business domain? Let's say we did a 301 redirect and turned it into Service.com/blog. We'd be folding all this extra traffic into the business domain. Would the google juice be worth doing this?
