Is it bad to have html pages on a blog?
I converted a completely HTML site to wordpress, but havd hundreds of article pages that are still html.

It has no SEO effect if you keep your naming identical and in wordpress add .html so keeping the same url structure and naming. The extension is not taken in consideration. However if you move from /page.html to /page (no extension) it will be considered as a new page. So what you have to do is a 301 redirect from .html to /page... manually first and then if you have all your pages without extension just create a htaccess to redirect all pages from .html to no extension.
Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, as long as I'm understanding your situation. There is not a big difference to search engines whether you pages are HTML or XHTML. Running them through a validator is a good idea though.

Hello Guys, I have some duplicate pages detected by MOZ. Most of the URL´s are from a registracion process for users, so the URL´s are all like this: www.exemple.com/user/login?destination=node/125%23comment-form What should I do? Add this to robot txt? If so how? Whats the command to add in Google Webmaster? Thanks in advance! Pedro Pereira

Duplicate content penalty
when moz crawls my site they say I have 2x the pages that I really have & they say I am being penalized for duplicate content. I know years ago I had my old domain resolve over to my new domain. Its the only thing that makes sense as to the duplicate content but would search engines really penalize me for that? It is technically only on 1 site. My business took a significant sales hit starting early July 2013, I know google did and algorithm update that did have SEO aspects. I need to resolve the problem so I can stay in business

How do I switch my website to www.mydomain?
I'm having canonical URL problems. I keep trying to set everything to www.mydomain.com, but I'm using wordpress and my site keeps either disappearing completely or giving me an infinite loop error. I've tried changing my main wordpress setting, whether I have canonical URLs turned on, my .htaccess file... Could this be an issue with either my host or my domain registrar? Any ideas how I can fix it?

Indexed iframed content behind login
Hi, I have a question regarding iframed content. I would like to get my non cms content which is served via an iframe solution (from the same domain) behind a anonymous or personal login indexed by search engines. How can we make this work? I've looked at the following solutions: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.nl/2008/10/first-click-free-for-web-search.htmlhttp://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/webmasters/l9n8oGLQRkUBut I would like the content to be crawlable deeper than the just one page (if this is possible using the iframe solution). We could also setup different new pages in our CMS with the same content...Any suggestions? Thanks!Arnout

Duplicate page title and content
Hello, I have an ecommerce store where we offer many similar products, and the main difference could be the color or memory storage. Due to this reason my main problem appears to be be duplicate page title and content. What is the best way to correct this issue? I cant make them different neither. I always include this particular difference in title or description. I guess it is not enough? any way to fix it? thanks!

Filtered Navigation, Duplicate content issue on an Ecommerce Website
I have navigation that allows for multiple levels of filtering. What is the best way to prevent the search engine from seeing this duplicate content? Is it a big deal nowadays? I've read many articles and I'm not entirely clear on the solution. For example. You have a page that lists 12 products out of 100: companyname.com/productcategory/page1.htm And then you filter these products: companyname.com/productcategory/filters/page1.htm The filtered page may or may not contain items from the original page, but does contain items that are in the unfiltered navigation pages. How do you help the search engine determine where it should crawl and index the page that contains these products? I can't use rel=canonical, because the exact set of products on the filtered page may not be on any other unfiltered pages. What about robots.txt to block all the filtered pages? Will that also stop pagerank from flowing? What about the meta noindex tag on the filitered pages? I have also considered removing filters entirely, but I'm not sure if sacrificing usability is worth it in order to remove duplicate content. I've read a bunch of blogs and articles, seen the whiteboard special on faceted navigation, but I'm still not clear on how to deal with this issue.
