Resources for creating infographics
-
I have a great idea for an infographic. Does anyone have any resources for tools or tips on creating an infographic?
I have some design skills, but I'm not a pro. I'm not against paying someone to create it...but my budget is small.
How do you guys create your infographics?

I'm interested n seeing your infographic. Can you post a link to it or send it to me?

I ended up creating my infographic in GIMP. It turned out great! It's already getting a good amount of tweets, likes and mentions in forums...hopefully some good links follow!

Oooh...look what I found...a flickr discussion group all about infographics!

Thanks...some great reading there! Bookmarked!

Blueglass has had a lot of posts about building infographics. You might start with http://www.blueglass.com/blog/what-makes-a-good-infographic/ then do a search on their site for infographics to find their other posts.

That looks really great! But it looks like it's still in development? I can't see anywhere on the site where I can actually create my own infographic.

I have a client that has used several consultants and companies listed on O Desk with good results. Proper screening and reference checks are important of course.

Community Discussion - How do you create and distribute content?
Hi there, Moz Community! It's Thanksgiving here in the US, and this year I'm thankful for the release of Moz Content. 🙂 With that in mind, I'd like to revisit Kelsey Libert's November 5 Moz Blog post on creating and distributing content to kick of a community discussion to hold us over during this long weekend. Kelsey said: "Some content is designed to “go viral,” while other times a piece of content intended to stay among friends takes the Internet by storm. But whether planned or unplanned, rapidly-shared content has several commonalities. One of the key factors is that the content creates a strong emotional response in viewers." What do you think? How much effort do you put into getting your content distributed? Do you have particular strategies for creating your content? What are they?

My Guest Blog: Still A Good Link Building Resource?
In an effort to build some links, we want to really work on improving our blog content and exposure. We want to write two quality posts per week, and submit 1 quality guest post every 1-2 weeks. However, we're not sure how to go about submitting guest posts or who to submit them to? I found an all article from SEOmoz http://moz.com/blog/4-valuable-link-building-services but it's from 2010. Is myguestblog still a good source? Are there better ways of doing it? Also, is ever advisable to pay to submit a post? Some of the legal blogs (we're a law firm) have this option, but that strikes me as spammy or low quality links. Just to reiterate, we are striving to write high-quality useful content audiences will find beneficial, not just junk or salesmanship. If it takes longer than a week to write posts like that, that's fine. We just really need some specific advise on who we should be submitting our guest posts to and who we should avoid. Thank you all so much for any advice or suggestions, Ruben

Do I need to copyright my free resource PDF?
Hello, We're creating a free resource on how to choose a product for our niche. I'm trying to make this as non-commercial as possible, but in light of competition using it, do I need to put a copyright statement at the very bottom of the pdf?

I have created 2 blogs for a client as they have 2 domains (1 for their core business, and 1 for a product). I want to use the same content on both blogs. What is the best way to set this up so there are no ranking or duplicate content issues?
We are pushing SEO for only one of the domains, therefore I would like one to be dominant. We will be sending the blog post via email to their database, therefore each blog needs to have the same content. Thank you!
