Does google exact match domain name bonus work if the keywords are reversed?
-
For example, we all know that there is a ranking boost to having a domain name: http://bluewidgets.com when someone searches for "blue widgets".
But would the domain name http://widgetsblue.com also get a bonus in the serp for "blue widgets" ?
-
If keywords are reversed or switched, the "bonus" effect is vanished to most extent but its still better off than a domain with no keyword at all. Having keyword in a domain does give you an advantage in terms of ranking at least in the short run. Its worth noting that Google has been reducing the weight of exact match keywords and also 'keywords' usage in domains in general.

That's not exact match.
Also, i would like to know if it is a bad idea to point three or four keyword1keyword2.com type domain names at your main domain in an attempt to boost rankings for those keywords.
This will not produce the desired results.

Also, i would like to know if it is a bad idea to point three or four keyword1keyword2.com type domain names at your main domain in an attempt to boost rankings for those keywords. Is this they type of behavior that would get penalized by google?
For example, how http://redacted.name points to http://www.nikolasschiller.com and thus making him rank #1 for the search term "redacted name" despite the fact that OSE shows 0 backlinks with "redacted name" in them for http://www.nikolasschiller.com and he does not even mention "redacted name" anywhere in the content of his homepage.

Keyword Research for Low Volume Keywords
Hey friends, I'm looking for a little keyword research direction here, specifically for keywords and phrases with low search volume. I'm just going to give a recent example: I just finished a piece of content on customer experience. I began the process with some keyword research. Based on Moz's keyword explorer, "customer experience" has a monthly volume of 2.9k-4.3k. Sweet. So I move onto related queries and longer tail phrases to narrow my content approach. But just about any relevant phrase shows either a volume of 0-10 or 11-50 and very similar difficulty metrics, making it tough to choose a direction. So "what is customer experience" shows a monthly volume of 0-10. SEM Rush reports ~350 searches a month. I understand SEM Rush uses broader match, but I guess what I'm asking is: how do I perform keyword research with such minuscule volumes and such little data to differentiate? I've looked at Russ Jones' answer to a similar question here on how Keyword Explorer works: https://moz.com/community/q/what-is-a-good-keyword-volume-score ... but I still don't have a ton of clarity. Any advice would be awesome!

National keyword results v local keyword results
If the keyword contains the location term like "SEO company London" is it better to use the wider results over local? Additionally, some best practice examples of national v local result tracking would be great 🙂 Darren

Switching Domain Names
I own two domain names, smallbusinessdoer.com and smallbizdoer.com. I set up my site at smallbusinessdoer.com. Initially I wanted to keep the full "business" in the domain name as I thought it would be good for SEO. I'm now thinking it would be a lot better to have a shorter domain and I do own the smallbizdoer.com domain (which is currently forwarding to smallbusinessdoer.com). If I flip that around, forward smallbusinessdoer.com with a 301 redirect to smallbizdoer.com, what are the implications? How long will I lose link juice with the 301 redirects? Does shortening business to biz help for URL length or usability? Thanks for any input!
