Tracking specific path and referral for unique session

Happy Monday everyone!
We recently received a unique lead on our site and I was wondering if there was anyway to pinpoint the exact behavior flow and/or specific referral source they came from on Google Analytics.
I know you can view the general behavior flow for all or segmented users based on what pages they viewed, but I wanted to see if I can track by unique sessions to see where this person exactly found us.

Hi Paul,
Yes, you can absolutely do this.
You will have to identify which user you want to track - to do this, you need some form of information which specifically identifies them (when they came to the site, ideally). It sounds like you already have this.
In Google Analytics, follow this route:
Reporting --> Audience --> User Explorer
This will give you a list of Client ID's from which you can backtrack to determine which user is the one you wish to track specifically. General session information will be provided on this page but you can click each unique ID and get more in-depth information such as pages they viewed, where they came from and what device they were using.
It can be a bit manual and tedious, but that is the best way I know how to do it. Maybe other Mozzers can give you more insight.

Analytics conversion tracking?
Hi One of our clients has a hotel chain currently which currently uses an online booking system which is from a third party. We are keen to set up conversion tracking to track the number of bookings made however are we able to do this if the URL destination is not on the clients website? Or will it be a case of just tracking the number of people who click the link to go to the third party payment site? Kind Regards

Cross Domain Tracking in GA (without cross domain links)
Hi everyone, Been doing some research about cross-domain tracking in Google Analytics (preferably Universal Analytics where documentation is a bit spare). All of the tutorials focus on the auto-linking and ensuring links to the other site are taken care of. I'm considering a site that may not cross-link like that at all (or it may, but won't be the main avenue). A good example is: www.gap.com

www.oldnavy.com Now, they do link to the other brands in their navigation but let's pretend that they don't necessarily do that. Gap Corporate may want to roll up all these domains into a single reporting profile because customers can clearly visit any of those sites on their own and buy. It would be nice to know that Visitor X bought 2 items from gap.com and 3 from oldnavy.com... and of course, here were their campaigns, etc. From what I am reading, I am not sure this is really possible. It seems that the cross-domain code is really only best for when my main site links to another domain for checkout or something. But in my example, we are definitely not in control of that kind of behavior. Thoughts? Perhaps I need to recommend they go with subdomains only which Universal GA seems to handle quite fine out of the box. Thank you!0 -
Multiple-Domain tracking for sister sites- NO retail checkout- Please help
Hello, I have about 5 sites I want to set up multiple-domain tracking in google analytics. All posts I read seem to be focused on cross-domain tracking for the purpose of tracking a visitor from one domain across another domain for shopping cart check outs. I don't need that. I have about 3 sister sites (mastersite.com, sistersite1.com, sistersite2.com, sistersite3.com) related to my primary site. I want 1 Master Analytics Profile to track traffic for all of these sites combined. My visitors will not jump from mastersite.com over to sistersite1.com. There will be no cross-domain visits. How can I set up 1 master google analytics profile that will aggregate traffic data from all sites and present the data to me in one analytics profile. Please help

Core audience, daily / weekly uniques
In Google analytics or site catalyst, is there anyway to target IP addresses to see how many of my daily uniques are daily, weekly, monthly and what % are just 'tourists'/'one-offs'? My site is a local news site... Or is there another way to find this info. I am trying to work out what my core audience is (that keeps coming back every day or every week). Kind regards

301 Tracking with Google Analytics hurts SEO?
Hey guys, I have an old-domain.com and a new-domain.com. old-domain.com has reputation and through a 301 redirect it's handling it over to new-domain.com. I want to know how many people still visit old-domain.com and track this with Google Analyitcs. I read the best solution for this would be a Google Campaign URL. My question: Does a URL like "http://www.new-domain.com /?utm_source=&utm_medium=redirect&utm_campaign=" hurt the effectiveness of the 301 redirect?

Is IP tracking of visitor allowed?
Hi, Google Analytics does not provide IP addresss of the visitors. What if i develop some in-house tracking mechanism to do so? Is it allowed or will Google penalize me if it comes to know about it? Thanks
