AdWords: Can I exclude specific keyword from showing on mobile?
-
Howdy.
The question is pretty much in the subject. I know I can exclude the campaign or ad group from shwoing on mobile devices. How can i do that per keyword though?
Thanks
-
Yeah, that's what i thought. Basically, it would be splitting campaigns into two/several.
Well, thanks for the advise!
-
Sorry, no you can't.
What you could do:
- Create a campaign with the same keywords, put the mobile adjustment on a -100%, which means you're basically not bidding for mobile devices.
- Duplicate the campaign, target only mobile devices on that campaign and do what you want to do with your keywords on that one.
-
But can i have a bid modifier per keyword though?
-
Hi Dmitrii,
In addition to excluding campaigns or ad groups you can also create negative keyword lists in your campaign and exclude them or make sure to set up a special bid modifier for mobile devices so you always bid a -100% lower.
Martijn.

From time to time I see an ad pop up in search results for blog content and have often wondered how much success these ads have had in promoting the specific post. Does anyone have experience with this? What results did you see?

Can you do strict CPC advertising on Facebook?
There has been some debate amongst my colleagues that Facebook obscures it's advertising spend options. This for setting up ads to go directly to a website. I understand that Facebook offers both CPM & PPC https://www.facebook.com/help/125430440869478. However lets say that an advertiser hypothetical sets up a campaign and for some reason the ad receives absolutely no clicks (but some impressions). Will the advertiser still be charged?

Good Adwords resources/ Guides
I'm going to be taking over the PPC for my company. A 3rd party currently does it but I have done a review and they have not been doing a great job ( I spotted a few very basic mistakes), so we want to switch it to in house I have experience with PPC, and I'm confident on the basic of it, but I was looking for a good (recent) PPC resource or guide so I can make sure I'm doing it right, basicly a ppcmoz 😉 For example current the campaigns are set to accelerated, but I have been told that is very wasteful, but the 3rd party explanation is:"We set the campaigns to be accelerated to avoid missing out on potential sales. These can be set to standard if you wish however there is a higher chance that sales could be missed." Which is correct?

Adding nyc to a keyword in Google Adwords
Hello. If I have a keyword in Google Adwords that is using phrase match ("keyword"), could it be useful to add the keyword phrase "keyword nyc"? Even if I did not add the second keyword phrase, my ad would be triggered if someone searched for "keyword nyc." So would it be redundant to add the second keyword phrase? Thank you!

My question is: bid of B is competing with bid of A? therefore CPC of A increase because of B? Tks

Best method to measure conversions (Adwords)
Hi, I am a new member and fairly new to PPC. I have a service based site (car detailing) and I have been using Adwords for quite sometime now. My primary question is about tracking conversions. I have dedicated landing pages for each one of my ad groups (and some kw specific landing pages). When a potential customer lands on one of my pages - lets say my "car wash" page, they have the option to: Call from that page to book a service (I have a trackable number on that pages) Book online (its a 3rd party booking app with no tracking functionality) Continue to my main site for find out about our other services (I have a few outbound links set up on the page) But, I am running into problems when it comes to conversion tracking. I am not doing any call tracking via Adwords, so what would be the most effective way for me to track conversions? A) Should I set up event tracking in order to count outbound clicks as conversions? B) Should I remove all outbound links from that landing page and use the custom phone number on that page? My fear with this option is that customers may want to see additional services that are on my primary site. Therefore, I don't want to limit them to that landing page only. C) Should I use Adwords call tracking? If I go this route, I would have to decrease my campaign budgets in order to offset the call tracking costs. Or maybe there is another option I should consider that someone with more experience could offer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
