Why does OSE show old data (Previous update results)?
-
Moz api started to show July 13 update results for my website. I checked it 2 days ago and saw all new established links and updated DA PA for July 27 update. But last 2 days both Moz Api and OSE main page show July 13 update results. Is there a maintenance or mismatching error between old and new databases?
-
It seems fixed now. I have just checked again and fortunately new update results appears.
-
We can certainly check on it if you provide the domain! I would recommend sending in the information to help@moz.com where you particular case can be discussed outside the public forum.
-
As i said before after 27 July update i checked several times and saw all new established links and increasing DA 5-6 points-up for my websites. But yesterday evening suddenly Moz Api and Ose started to show old data. Problem still persists.
-
We do not have a penalty system, but it's certainly possible that your metrics did not meaningfully change from one index release to another. It's all calculated based off the backlink profile we have for your site.
-
No way! Still it shows July 13 data for my all websites except one. That's very interesting. Is there any Moz penalty for some domains? I mean does moz have a penalty system?
-
Sorry for any trouble! While there can be a small time period after an index update in which the API is updated but the tools and apps built from it have not yet switched over to the new data, at this point everything from the July 27 update should be available from all sources. If you're seeing incorrect or inconsistent data, feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com with the domains and URLs that you're seeing issues with, and we can look into it. Thanks!

Moz Api Integration with Google Data Studio
I want to automate my competition research process. Right now my competition research is completely manual which is ok if working in a small project. Usually, start looking at Google for the best sites for a specific niche. In an excel sheet insert the URL in a column and start to put information in next columns, information such as DA, PA, backlinks, page speed, schemas validation and stuff like that. As I mentioned for a small project I usually take 10 websites as a reference to analyze how difficult can be rank a website. The problem starts when I have to scale when I have to evaluate 100 or 200 or even more websites in different niches or target location or industry. Does not make sense keep doing manually. So my question is there any way to connect the Moz API to Google Data Studio or Google Sheet

Is there an easy way to get MOZ data into Google Sheets?
Is there any way to pull data directly from MOZ to Google sheets, like a plug-in for sheets?

Spring is here and so is our May Index Update!
Happy Index Release Day! For the second month in a row, our hard-working, supremely dedicated Big Data team has delivered our Index Update EARLY! Beyond being punctual, the May Index is one of our most comprehensive and largest update of the year for Moz. Let’s dig into the details: 162,225,495,455 (162 billion) URLs. 1,135,327,420 (1.1 billion) subdomains. 194,346,505 (194 million) root domains. 1,168,465,575,815 (1.1 Trillion) links. Followed vs nofollowed links 2.84% of all links found were nofollowed 65.80% of nofollowed links are internal 34.20% are external Rel canonical: 28.89% of all pages employ the rel=canonical tag The average page has 92 links on it 76 internal links on average. 16 external links on average.. Go have fun with your new data! Is there a way to connect to MOZ Pro data via Tableau?
Looking to automate reporting data from MOZ Pro. Specifically, site audit and keyword ranking data. Would like to connect to MOZ Pro backend via Tableau. Not seeing an obvious way to do this. Any guidance?

Any idea why HubSpot (which uses the MOZ api) can find our backlinks but OSE can not?
Links are showing up in the HubSpot link tool within a couple of days. OSE has our site showing zero backlinks. ahrefs is finding them too but that makes more sense. Does the API update more frequently than OSE? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Suggestion - Should OSE include "citation links" within its index?
This is really a suggestion (and debate to see if people agree with me), with regard to including "citation links" within Moz tools, by default, as just another type of link NOTE: when I am talking about "citation links" I am talking about a link that is not wrapped in a link tag and is therefore non clickable, eg moz.com Obviously Moz have released the mentions tool, which is great, and also FWE which is also great. However, it would seem to me that they are missing a trick in that "citation links" don't feature in the main link index at all. We know that Google as a minimum uses them as an indicator to crawl a page ( http://ignitevisibility.com/google-confirms-url-citations-can-help-pages-get-indexed/ ), and also that they don't pass page rank - HOWEVER, you would assume that google does use then as part of their alogrithm in some manner as they do nofollow links. It would seem to me that a "Citation Link" could (possibly) be deemed more important than a no follow link in Googles alogrithm, as a "no follow" link is a clear indication by the site owner that they don't fully trust the link, but a citation link would neither indicate trust or non trust. So - my request is to get "citation links" into the main link index (and the Just Discovered index for that matter). Would others agree??

On-Page Reports showing old urls
While taking a look at our sites on-page reports I noticed some of our keywords with very old urls that haven't existed for close to a year. How do I make sure moz's keyword ranking is finding the correct page and make sure I'm not getting graded on that keywords/urls that don't exist any more or have been 301'd to new urls? Is there a way to clean these out? My on-page reports say I have 62 reports for only a total of 34 keywords in rankings. As you can see from the image most of the urls for "tax folder" have now been 301'd to not include /product or /category but moz is still showing them with the old url structure. BTW our site is minespress.com 2KdGcPL.png

Using excel to pull MOZ data about links
I have a list of links 500 in excel that I would like to get the number of backlinks, PA and DA for the relevant link, is there a pre-built excel sheet that utilises the Moz Api that can pull this data easily? Thanks!
