Internal Equity-Passing Links not getting crawled in Moz Open Site Explorer?

Internal Equity-Passing Links not getting crawled in Moz Open Site Explorer. What is the cause of this? We've checked the robots.txt and htaccess file, but so far we can't find anything that would be blocking Moz from crawling the internal links. We manage loads of other clients on this platform and this is the first time we've run into this issue. What else can I check?

Thanks for your response! We've had this particular client in the Open Site Explorer for several months now, so I'm not sure if the time it takes to index is the issue. I've attached a screenshot of what we see and what we share with out clients. It looks like all of the other metrics are being gathered correctly, it's just internal links that aren't working. Are there any possible causes for this?

Hi there! Thanks so much for the question! Open Site Explorer is powered by our Mozscape index which is still growing with each index. Most newer sites are indexed within about 60 days but some take longer- this can be dependent on quite a few different factors. When we collect link data, we look for the most valuable links so this means we may not crawl your entire site or every site. We do this by starting our crawler on a few high ranking sites and then have it perform a breadth first search to see what it finds. This means we may not immediately find links which are farther down in the hierarchy of your site.I hope this helps! If you have any other questions or if you would like us to look into this further, feel free to send us a note at help@moz.com and we’ll be happy to take a look! We'll just need to know the link for the site you're working with.

How to find lost internal links
I've been seeing a large decline in internal followed links over the past couple of months and am trying to figure out the cause. My developer says there have been no changes to the site that would cause this. Is there a way to find what internal links have been lost?

If I have a MOZ PRO account, do I still need Screaming Frog?
Hi, I have a MOZ PRO account which is brilliant for me. I am about to move my site from HTTP to HTTPS and was looking for a smooth way to list every page and its details so I can make sure I do the correct redirects etc.. before the switch to SSL. Do I need to get Screaming Frog, or can the tools with MOZ Pro ease my path just as well? Thanks

GTLDs in Open Site Explorer
Curious to know if anyone has run into a similar problem - I entered a site containing a gTLD (.dog extensions) in OSE and it gave me an error (screenshot attached). I checked another tool (ahrefs.com) and was able to extract some data. Does anyone know if these type of domains are not included in OSE and/or why there was an error? Appreciate any insight! Why Moz Doesn't See or Count Our Backlinks?
Hi Moz Community! We have been working hard to improve our Moz metrics, measuring against a high ranking competitor to help us set our goals. Our Majestic and Webmaster Tools find tens of thousands of external backlinks pointing to our domain. That's all well and good. Moz's Open Site Explorer, however, only finds 900 total links - including internal links! This being the case, we have worked diligently to build a variety of great external backlinks, creating Bitly links and encouraging clicks on those through social promotion. Yet, our competitor has over 7,000 external backlinks in Moz's index, while ours is not growing relative to their number of backlinks. Can anyone share with us what they do to tell Moz about their backlinks? We already know we have many more backlinks than our competitor, from trusted domains with good authority, yet it seems Moz is not discovering them. We just want to understand how to use these Moz metrics to create meaningful calls-to-action. Otherwise, it seems like a gargantuan waste of time, and our team has difficulty getting buy-in from our company to put time and assets toward tasks based on our Moz numbers!
