Hi Bob,
Gaston has linked to a good resource regarding migrating to HTTPS, which has been made into a "moment of truth" for businesses who don't follow Google's lead on this in 2017. For more on this, I recommend: http://streetfightmag.com/2017/10/02/the-impending-httpstrophe/
Regarding your other questions, if your business is digital/virtual, you don't necessarily need an address, but it's a trust signal to have one, and you should at least have a phone number if you want customers to feel you're a real company.
If your business is local, a physical address (even if it's your home address) and dedicated phone number are prerequisites. Without them, you don't really have a local business, and won't be able to fully market your company as one.
Hope this helps!

Hello Bob,
Would you please expand your question?
- When you refer to an address, its about a domain? a home address? is it about Local Listings?
- A phone number?
- ALWAYS, go for https if possible. Of course, do it right. HTTPs migration checklist - AleydaSolis
I'll take a guess anyway:
if you are referring on comparing how much effect on SEO those 3 elements have: HTTPs will effect more than others. Even more with the Chrome 62 update that will have the "Not Secure" message in the Address Bar. (this is not a direct SEO factor, but the impact for users will affect your SEO consideration for Google Search Engine)If you are targeting for local SEO, I´d suggest you to take a look here: Local SEO Checklist - Moz Blog
Best luck
GR.

Reputable SEO companies
I am looking for a reputable SEO company to assist in link building. I have done many searches and find that there are many sites that have a "top 10." However I am finding they are listed there due to paying large amounts of money. Any recommendations on companies that can show real results and are not charging extreme amounts of money while using minimum wage interns to do all the work with crappy results. I had a few people suggest "internet marketing ninjas" if anyone has used, chime in. Thanks

PDF Sharing sites - scribd/dropbox/edocr/etc Cleaning Up SEO History
Howdy, Whilst in the process of cleaning up a new clients seo profile and have encountered a lot of techniques I am uncomfortable with and in my opinion should be removed. One technique I have not seen before is using a load of pdf sharing and video sites. The domains have high DA ratings, but to me the intention is highly questionable. The sites include: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tuxb8w1qowcm27i/Looking for boiler spares-geniune parts and consumables.pdf?dl=0 http://www.scribd.com/doc/241542076/Looking-for-Boiler-Spares-geniune-Parts-and-Consumables http://www.divshare.com/download/26207602-569 And so the list goes on for about 50 domains. Am I correct to be concerned here and what was the seo plan here? Thanks in advance. Andy Southall. (Marz Ventures)

Best Link Building Strategies in Modern SEO
Hello, In light of all the updates and also in guest blogging being only for nofollow links now, what's some of the best strategies for link building for ecommerce sites? We're in an industry where the content doesn't get linked to very much. Thanks.

Negative SEO attack working amazingly on Google.ca
We have a client www.atvandtrailersales.com who recently (March) fell out of the rankings. We checked their backlink file and found over 100 spam links pointing at their website with terms like "uggboots" and "headwear" etc. etc. I submitted a disavow link file, as this was obviously an attack on the website. Since the recent Panda update, the client is back out of the rankings for a majority of keyword phrases. The disavow link file that was submitted back in march has 90% of the same links that are still spamming the website now. I've sent a spam report to Google and nothing has happened. I could submit a new disavow link file, but I'm not sure if this is worth the time. '.'< --Thanks!

href="#" and href="javascript.void()" links. Is there a difference SEO wise?
I am currently working a site re-design and we are looking at if href="#" and href="javascript.void()" have an impact on the site? We were initially looking at getting the links per page down but I am thinking that rel=nofollow is the best method for this. Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks in advanced

Knowledge Graph SEO Factors
I notice when I search for my clients brand name it pulls up the Google local info and Google+ stuff, knowledge graph etc, as well as a section at the bottom, 'People Also Search For' and lists a number of the clients competitors. However when I search one of the competitors no Google local or knowledge graph stuff comes up. Client obviously wants to limit promotion of the competitors. Does anyone have any experience with this? I know Google Author rank seems to play a factor in knowledge graph results? Are the competitors doing anything on their end SEO wise? What can be done to limit this? Thanks for any help! jkn0BMT.png

Could this be negative SEO?
Hi, I've attached a copy of our Google ranking for one of our keywords for our site and a competitor. Also shown is the number of external links over time for the same 2 sites. There seems to be a striking resemblance between the 2 sites so could this be the result of negative SEO? What's the best way to determine whether you've been targeted for negative SEO? Thanks, site-analysis.jpg

Influence of users' comments on a page (on-page SEO)
Do you think when Google crawls your page, it "monitors" comments updates to use this as a ranking factor? If Google is looking for social signs, looking for comments updates might be a social sign as well (ok a lot easier to manipulate, but still social). thx
