A number of times you should use your keyword in a guest blog
-
Is it true that if you want to rank for a chosen keyword, you have to mention that keyword 3%-5% of the whole content (in a guest blog)?
-
Whatever works for you, at times some calculation of keyword density may be required to avoid overuse.
-
I absolutely agree that "the quality of the copy is more important than the number of times that the keyword is used." I don't believe that I have ever calculated my keyword density because I believe that the quality of the copy is (almost) EVERYTHING. Some people will scoff at this, but I know for a fact that if the quality of the copy is high enough that linkbuilding is not necessary... it enables you to spend all of your time on the copy.
-
The quality of the copy is more important than the number of times that the keyword is used, I aim for a 3% keyword density; regardless of the purpose of the copy.
-
You should write in natural language. That might produce a very different keyword density - especially if the article is really long. Google can tell when you are stuffing in the keywords. Readers think that you don't know how to write.

Should I Use a Backlink Plugin
One of my clients recently asked me if he should use a Wordpress plugin to create backlinks to his website. He mentioned WP-Syndicator as an example. I just redesigned his website and I'd like to ensure that he gets a bit more traffic than he was before. Should I suggest that he purchase/use a Wordpress backlink plugin? If so does anyone know which is the best one? Not sure if it's necessary, but here is the website I'm referring to http://intouchhome.com

Can anyone provide any useful insights on how they use latest news items to help with SEO?
Hello, I have heard about SEO's and PR types riding off the back of latest news items that can be tied to the products or services they are trying to promote. Recently I read about how an SEO had distastefully written an article using the name of a famous singer who had sadly passed away and used this event as an opportunity to write about a small business models 😞 Can anyone provide any useful AND ethical insights on how they use latest news items to help with SEO?

Blog Comments
We all get them ... spam blog comments. People do it to get link value back to their site. Recently, someone approached me to do this for our site but on niche sites that are related to our content and to provide good valueable comments within a blog post of about 100 words each, and genuinely try to engage. They also were talking about finding blogs that have "follow" links in their comments space, since most do not. I still declined it because it is somewhat 'grey-hat' rather than 'white-hat' linking, and we want to be above-board on everything. Although we personally declined this approach, I'm curious your thoughts though on whether gaining links from blog comments from related, niche sites is a good idea. Like this question? Give us a Big Thumbs Up! Thank you!

Pay Per Post Blog Reviews - Does It Work?
I have come to realize that several SEO companies are basing their entire link strategy on paying bloggers to write a review about their client's website that also includes a link back to their website. I am thinking about adding this as part of my link building campaign. I am thinking about acquiring approximately 15 links a month from PR 2-5 blogs that pertain to my industry and target audience. I am thinking of using the network payperpost.com to find good blogs. First question: Does this type of link building work well? Second question: Is 15 links a month from PR 2-5 blogs (writing on my subject matter) enough to help out?
