      Hi there,

I could use your help with something. Last week, I submitted my sitemap in the search console to improve my website's visibility on Google. Unfortunately, I got an error message saying that Google is not reading my sitemap.

I'm not sure what went wrong. Could you take a look at my site (OceanXD.org) and let me know if there's anything I can do to fix the issue? I would appreciate your help.

      Thank you so much!

It can be a few days up to months, depending on if you submit for indexing or do external linking. You'd be surprised how many natural sites don't ever get indexed, and the owner wonders "why dont i get any leads?" lol My newest site ProClean Partners was submitted the day it was completed.

Hi, you can submit a new sitemap directly via Google Search Console- once the site map has been crawled and indexed by Googlebot, you may see your organic SEO improve.

Google typically reads your sitemap within a few days of submission. However, indexing may vary depending on site size, crawl budget, and Google's prioritization algorithms. Updates typically appear in search results within 1-2 weeks.

You can use a free WordPress SEO plugin, like Yoast, if your using WordPress? Then you can simply paste the site map link into your Google Search Console, over night Google, should index your site map, and then you can see if your organic SEO improves does this help?

To Start Crawling Faster- Implement these steps to your website.

                    Create an XML Sitemap:
An XML sitemap is a file that lists all the pages on your website, making it easier for search engines to crawl and index your content.

                    Submit Your Sitemap to Google:
After creating your sitemap, submit it to Google through Google Search Console. This will notify Google about your sitemap and help them start crawling your website faster.

                    Regular Updates:
Keep your sitemap updated as your website changes. Regenerate sitemaps at least weekly, or daily for sites with more frequent content changes.

                    Optimize Metadata:
Include accurate information about the last updated timestamp, update frequency, and priority level for each page in your sitemap. This helps search engines prioritize high-priority or frequently updated pages first.

                    Monitor Indexation:
Use Google Search Console to monitor the indexation of your sitemap. This will help you identify any issues or errors that may be preventing your pages from being crawled and indexed.

Follow these SEO friendly steps to make your website monitor , Indexed and crawled .

The time it takes for Google to read and process a sitemap can vary, and there isn't a specific timeframe that applies universally. However, Google typically aims to index new content and updates as quickly as possible. Here are some factors that can influence how soon Google reads a sitemap:

                        1. Frequency of Updates: If your website regularly publishes new content or updates existing pages, Google may crawl your sitemap more frequently.

                        2. Crawl Budget: Google allocates a crawl budget to each website, determining how often its bots will crawl the site. Popular and authoritative sites often have a higher crawl budget, leading to more frequent crawls.

                        3. Server Response Time: A fast server response time helps Google's crawlers efficiently process and index your sitemap.

                        4. Significance of Changes: If your sitemap contains significant changes or new content, Google might prioritize crawling it sooner.

                        5. Google Search Console: You can use Google Search Console to submit your sitemap and monitor its indexing status. This tool provides insights into when Google last crawled your site and whether there were any issues.

                        6. XML Sitemap Ping: Google provides a ping service where you can notify them of changes to your sitemap. However, note that using this service doesn't guarantee an immediate crawl, as Google still determines the crawling schedule based on various factors.

While there is no fixed time frame, Google usually aims to index content promptly. Keep in mind that changes to your website may not instantly reflect in search results, and it might take some time for Google to process and index new content. Regularly monitoring your site's performance in Google Search Console can help you understand how quickly Google is crawling and indexing your sitemap. check;https://bammtech.com/en/blackcore-solutions/

The time it takes for Google to read and process a sitemap can vary. Google uses crawlers (bots) to discover and index web pages, and the frequency with which it crawls your site can depend on various factors:

                          1. Frequency Settings in Sitemap:

                            • If you have specified a change frequency in your sitemap, Google may adjust its crawling frequency based on that information. However, Google doesn't strictly follow these indications.
                          2. Website Popularity and Activity:

                            • Popular and frequently updated websites are often crawled more frequently by Google's bots.
                          3. Crawl Budget:

                            • Google allocates a crawl budget to each website based on factors like site quality, performance, and historical crawling patterns. The crawl budget determines how often Googlebot crawls your site.
                          4. Robots.txt and Meta Robots Tags:

                            • If your site has restrictions in the robots.txt file or meta robots tags, it can affect how often Googlebot crawls your pages.
                          5. Server Response Time:

                            • The server's response time can influence how quickly Google can crawl your site. Faster servers generally lead to more efficient crawling.
                          6. Backlink Profile:

                            • Websites with a robust backlink profile may get crawled more frequently.
                          7. Changes and Updates:

                            • If you make significant changes to your website, Google may prioritize crawling to index the updated content.
                          8. Google Search Console:

                            • You can use Google Search Console to manually request indexing for specific URLs or to check the indexing status of your sitemap.

It's essential to note that while you can submit a sitemap to Google, the search engine determines its crawling schedule based on various factors. Generally, Googlebot is designed to discover and crawl new content efficiently.

If you've made updates to your site and want to ensure that Google is aware of them, you can use tools like Google Search Console to monitor indexing status and request a re-crawl if needed. Keep in mind that changes may not be immediately reflected in search results, and it may take some time for Google to process and index new content. check;https://bammtech.com/en/blackcore-solutions/

It's not just about reading sitemap:

Google's process involves discovering, crawling, and indexing your sitemap. "Reading" is just one step.

                              Check the following

                              • You are submitting the right XML sitemap
                              • XML sitemap URL is accessible on browser
                              • In any case any plugin or any other thing not restricting the google bots in accessing the website

The time it takes for Google to read and process a sitemap can vary. Generally, Google strives to crawl and index new content quickly, and it often depends on the size of your website, the frequency of updates, and the overall crawl budget allocated to your site.

For smaller websites with regularly updated content, Google may crawl and process the sitemap within a few hours to a day. Larger websites with extensive content might take a bit longer, ranging from a few days to a couple of weeks.

It's important to note that submitting a sitemap through Google Search Console does not guarantee an immediate crawl or indexing. Google's algorithms prioritize content based on various factors, including relevance and quality.

I hope your query was answered and if so i am glad i was off help

The time it takes for Google to read and process a sitemap can vary based on various factors such as the size of the sitemap, the frequency of updates, and the overall crawl budget allocated to your website by Google. In general, Google aims to crawl and process sitemaps promptly, often within a few days to a week after submission.

However, it's important to note that Google doesn't guarantee immediate indexing or crawling of all URLs listed in a sitemap. Some URLs may be prioritized over others based on various factors such as the authority of your website, the relevance of the content, and the frequency of updates.

If you've submitted a sitemap to Google Search Console, you can check the status of your sitemap and monitor indexing progress over time. Keep in mind that regularly updating and maintaining your sitemap can help ensure that Google crawls and indexes your website's content efficiently.

I guess it probably takes only 6 hours to reach the sitemap of any website. For my website, it took only 2 hours. I hope this helps.

Are LinkedIn Newsletters bad for SEO?

                                                seo tactic social media

                                                Hey crew,
Curious if anyone has an answer for this one. Someone in our company is encouraging us to start posting our blog content as newsletters on LinkedIn and thinks it will help us grow.
From what I've learned about SEO - this seems like a bad idea that would split traffic for that content between our website and LinkedIn. I also feel like it would create duplicate content - right? Does anyone have any insight on this?
I see that Moz doesn't do LI newsletters and usually posts links on social media that point back to blogs on their website. That's what I've tried to do with our social media as well. Am I thinking about this correctly? Would this be bad for SEO?

                                                Spotify XML Sitemap

All, Working on an SEO work up for a Spotify site.  Looks like they are using a sitemap that links to additional pages. A problem, none of the links are actually linked within the sitemap.   This feels like a strong error. https://lubricitylabs.com/sitemap.xml Thoughts?

This url is not allowed for a Sitemap at this location error using pro-sitemaps.com

Hey, guys, We are using the pro-sitemaps.com tool to automate our sitemaps on our properties, but some of them give this error "This url is not allowed for a Sitemap at this location" for all the urls. Strange thing is that not all of them are with the error and most have all the urls indexed already. Do you have any experience with the tool and what is your opinion? Thanks

Sitemap: unique sitemap or different sitemaps by Country

Hi guys, i have a question about sitemaps. We are doing an international site, e.x. www.offers.com for landing page and www.offers.com/br for brazil, www.offers.com/it for italy, etc... i don't if we should do an unique sitemap for all countries or separate sitemaps by country, e.x.: unique sitemap: www.offers.com/sitemap.xml - including all sitemaps www.offers.com/br/sitemap.xml - sitemap for brazil market only. Thank you

Sitemap with homepage URL repeated several times - it is a problem?

Hello Mozzers, I am looking at a website with the homepage repeated several times (4 times) on the sitemap (sitemap is autogenerated via a plugin) - is this an SEO problem do you think - might it damage SEO performance, or can I ignore this issue? I am thinking I can ignore, yet it's an odd "issue" so your advice would be welcome! Thanks, Luke

How long does it take for google to update title and metadata?

I updated my site's title and description about a week ago, however for some reason it's still not reflected in google search results. Here's my site and try searching for 'shopious directory'. Any idea why this is? I tried looking at webmaster tool and it seems that google didn't have any errors. Why is it still showing the old data?

Submitting URLs multiple times in different sitemaps

We have a very dynamic site, with a large number of pages. We use a sitemap index file, that points to several smaller sitemap files. The question is: Would there be any issue if we include the same URL in multiple sitemap files? Scenario: URL1 appears on sitemap1. 2 weeks later, the page at URL1 changes and we'd like to update it on a sitemap. Would it be acceptable to add URL1 as an entry in sitemap2?  Would there be any issues with the same URL appearing multiple times? Thanks.
