Traffic Data Lag
-
Today is 8/29/11. Why does my traffic data still show data from 8/8/11? It says last data update 8/15/11 but there is no 8/15 data showing. I should be able to view 8/22 by now. This is way behind. I'm a newbie so hook me up. What am I missing? It was updating every Monday but not anymore.

Hi KegOutlet,
This thread is over a year old, so you're having something different happen to you than what happened then. Could you send a note over to help@seomoz.org and we'll investigate? Thanks!

Same problem here SEOmoz, my traffic data tab is still showing data from 8/8 and isn't showing analytics data from the last fortnight!

Hi everyone,
Since there are multiple people with this question, I've asked the help desk to come over here and let you know what's up (as I'm not sure myself). So sorry you're having problems.

I have the same problem. There always was a lag, but not as bad as now. It does show the update from 8/15 in my keywords, but not the overall traffic report.

Help - Analyzing Web Traffic Across Multiple Websites
Hi Moz Community, Hope you can help. Is there any way to discover the most visited pages for a particular website, one that I do not administer? I wouldn't need exact numbers, just a relative breakdown of the "Most Visited" pages/sections. For example, if I was reviewing www.jcrew.com, I'd be interested in determining the 10/20/50 most visited pages/products. And just to provide another example, I would be interested in the 10/20/50 most visited pages/stories on www.buzzfeed.com. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Help to Increase Traffic for On-line Pet Store
Hi Guys, Recently opened a Pet Supply Business www.valuepetsupplies.co.uk and we have launched our web site just last week. We currently have around 1800 products but have literally 1,000'a more to be added but as with everything in life it all takes time and effort. We have the shop sitting on the Presta-Shop e-commerce platform and it is connected with FB (1350fans), Twiter, Pinterest and a blog. Currently we have circa 600 visitors each month but we obviously need far more than that to compete in this marketplace. I am going to try and use some of the tools on this site to see what insights I can ascertain. So I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of what do get done next, I have some ideas but I thought I would put this on the table to see what some of the real pro's suggestions would be. Criticism also is welcomed. Thanks for looking guys could do with all the help I can get right now. SnoopD

Search Traffic Declining
Hello, My search engine traffic has been declining recently - I saw one decline last August and another this past April. I'm trying to figure out what caused the decline and would love advice on where I should start digging. Any recommendations would really help me! Thanks in advance. Jodi momsfavoritestuff.com

Why does Linkscap API request hang while extracting data ?
Hi, I am using LinkScape API to get follow and nofollow links . I use cron to get data for each url of sitemap.xml. However while cron is running, the extraction of data hangs on some pages which i later need to delete manually for re starting the execution. Do anyone have any idea why this is happening ? How can i ignore such pages ?

How does SEOMoz get ranking data? is it automated queries to Google?
Google's terms don't allow automated queries without Google's permission. https://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66357 How does SEOMoz get ranking data then? Is it sending automated queries with or without Google's permission? is it violating Google's guideline? Will it affect my site performance as far as rankings?

GWT data v SEO Moz data
I'm sure there's a simple explanation but I can't find it - Looking through the GWT avg position data v SEOMoz ranking data and Market Samurai data there is a large discrepancy. For one term that we hold #1, and have held for a month or two GWTis showing that the avg position is 180 (and down 30). Any reason you know of why the GWT avg position data would be so out of whack with our SERP's and other data? Thanks.

A suggestion to help with linkscape crawling and data processing
Since you guys are understandably struggling with crawling and processing the sheer number of URLs and links, I came up with this idea: In a similar way to how SETI@Home (is that still a thing? Google says yes: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/) works, could SEOmoz use distributed computing amongst SEO moz users to help with the data processing? Would people be happy to offer up their idle processor time and (optionally) internet connections to get more accurate, broader data? Are there enough users of the data to make distributed computing worthwhile? Perhaps those who crunched the most data each month could receive moz points or a free month of Pro. I have submitted this as a suggestion here:
