Some of my pages are ranking for terms which I want other pages to rank for. What can I do to effectively switch the ranking?

Some of the pages are ranking for terms I have optimised other pages for. The pages which are ranking are quite rightly falling, because they aren't optimised for the terms they're showing for. However, I have pages which are optomised for those terms. How do I switch the SERPS to the page I want?

#1 Make sure you don't have a cannibalization issue
#2. If the pages you DO want to rank for contain relevant content for your selected keyword (ideally one keyword/key-phrase per page) and the content is on-page optimized as it should be then
#3. It's all about the links - both internal and external. So
a. Make sure your site architecture is created in such way that your want-to-rank-for content gets a lot of links from your other underpages
b. Try to get as many links from outside as possible towards your want-to-rank-content. Don't worry about follow and no-follow - you need both and ideally from sources with related content.
c. Don't spam the web with zillions of blog comments, forum spam and other nasty stuff.

It's annoying when this happens. My first step is to make sure the target page is optimised well and that internal links are signalling that it is the most relevant page to the keyword. Next I reinforce this with blogs linking to the target page and social media signals. If the keyword is on my priority list I will spend additional time on link building to the target page as well. If I've done enough the target page pops up in the SERPs within a few weeks. If it doesn't work I go back to square one and see what more I can do.

More Singular KW Targeted Landing Pages vs. Less Multiple KW Targeted Landing Pages
So my question is... I have a adopted a site which currently ranks quite well for some industry competitive keywords with a number of poor quality landing pages which specifically target a singular keyword. I am wondering if its worth merging some of these pages together into one authoritative, better quality landing page targeting multiple keywords (as the intent for some of these keywords are largely the same). What i don't want to do is jeopardise the existing rankings in doing so. The alternative option would just be to improve the content on the existing landing pages without merging. What are peoples thoughts on this? Are there any positive case studies out there where merging has had a positive effect? Any help would be great. Regards,

Why are http and https pages showing different domain/page authorities?
My website www.aquatell.com was recently moved to the Shopify platform. We chose to use the http domain, because we didn't want to change too much, too quickly by moving to https. Only our shopping cart is using https protocol. We noticed however, that https versions of our non-cart pages were being indexed, so we created canonical tags to point the https version of a page to the http version. What's got me puzzled though, is when I use open site explorer to look at domain/page authority values, I get different scores for the http vs. https version. And the https version is always better. Example: http://www.aquatell.com DA = 21 and https://www.aquatell.com DA = 27. Can somebody please help me make sense of this? Thanks,

Imiges on own page???
Can somebody help me to explain why when I click on an image in a post it goes to its own page?? Framed Pages and Dynamic Pages
Has anyone else had experience with different CMS's for Ecommerce . Ones that create static pages and others that dynamically create pages. What differences have you seen with rankings on google with the two.
