Where should Youtube videos come from?
-
Is there a benefit to having Youtube videos on your site from other company's Youtube channels or should they come from your own Youtube channel because you can control links and tags?
-
James,
Maybe we didn't state the issue clearly. What we wanted to know was "should videos posted on our regular web site come from our youtube channel exclusively or from both ours and a partner's channel? Is there some benefit to having videos from multiple channels or from just ours?
Thanks for your help,
Lowell

You can build links via the youtube channel if the video gets alot of link backs to it you can develop a PR5 page.
that been said it is not easy, but you can work alot of link building strategy via YouTube.
Even though description links are no followed, heaps of people scrape youtube and you can build follows that way and also you can drive heaps of traffic via youtube descriptions if made correctly.

Should i disavow yellowpages.com. Webmater tools shows 656 links coming from it.
We do not have any manual penalty warnings but I am still concerned that Google will see this as unnatural and be penalizing us to a lesser degree.

Why did Moz take the fun video out of its Robots.txt file?
I loved this. The new robots.txt file is a big yawn. I miss the video. Can you guys add it back (or something equally delighting)? Pretty please?

Seo work for video production
Hi all, I'm about to start helping a friend who owns a video production company here in the UK. Currently he has a website with no real links. For "video production" / "video production companies" a lot of the top organic results have high number of links and according to the seomoz difficulty tool its coming in as hightly competitive 55%. Looking at the competitors there are lots of links to directories. Rather than taking this approach, do you think links to youtube for help videos, guest blogging, etc would be a more valuable strategy. He's never going to compete on linking root domains. Any help is appreciated.

Video on press releases
Can I use the same video (hosted on my website, static URL) for 2 completely unique press releases/articles)? Would this make it less unique although the subject on those to press releases would fall into the same category (travel) but will have different content?
