Oh my gosh a gender change
-
When I wasn't looking, I became a "Journeyman". Hooray for me, but I kinda liked being female. ;o)
Is there such a thing as a Journeywoman?
(couldn't resist- please excuse me if anyone objects to completely inappropriate "questions")
-
Well according to here the definition of Journeyman
An experienced and competent but undistinguished worker.
Wourneyman maybe?
-
What if there was JourneyMan and JourneyWoman and depending the provided gender in your profile it would change?
Of course SEOMoz should add such field first in the profile
-
I think SEOmoz needs to make it possible to give more than one thumbs up.
-
I like those! They each work for me.
How about JourniZen?

That's a really valid point, Chris. There could be some messes to clean up with that kind of imprecise assignment. And who knows, there could be some PC, gender harassment kind of stuff attached to it also. While we're on the subject, there may be some terms that aren't gender specific at all like Voyager but that just doesn't describe it like Journeyman does.
-
It should be "Journeyperson" if we're going down that road. Otherwise, SEOmoz would be in the position of having to assign a gender bias based on only an name and a picture. I don't think that's enough these days.
-
Oh whew, Keri! In the meantime, I won't look down.
-
Hi Gina,
We know it's not the best term, and we're actually going to have some updates with new terminology coming soon. Hang in there, you'll be back to your old self soon!
-
Thanks, Jesse!
Tee hee hee indeedy.
-
p.s. I like how you posted this to "Behavior & Demographics."

Recovering rankings after a botched url change
Hi there, I have for a long time had a bicycle maintenance website at madegood.org. Over the years the film branch of this business has taken off and moved in a slightly different direction, so I thought in March I decided to move madegood.org to madegoobikes.com, and create a new website for my film business at madegood.com. I thought I did a good job of telling google about my change of domain, but my rankings completely died, so about a month I moved madegoodbikes.com back to madegood.org. So far I haven't seen any sign of a recovery in my rankings, I'm getting almost no visits. I've check all my top pages on OSE and everything seems to be in place. https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/pages?site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.madegood.org%2F&no_redirects=0&sort=page_authority&filter=all&page=1 Is it normal to wait over a month for my rankings to recover, or is there anything else I should be doing? Any tips/ideas/advice whatsoever will of huge help!

Increase of 404 error after change of encoding
Hello, We just have launch a new version of our website with a new utf-8 encoding. Thing is, we use comma as a separator and since the new website went live, I have a massive increase of 404 error of comma-encoded URL. Here is an example : http://web.bons-de-reduction.com/annuaire%2C321-sticker%2Csite%2Cpromotions%2C5941.html instead of : http://web.bons-de-reduction.com/annuaire,321-sticker,site,promotions,5941.html I check with Screaming Frog SEO and Xenu, I can't manage to find any encoded URL. Is anyone have a clue on how to fix that ? Thanks

Changing the Timeframe of Historical Crawl Data
Hello, Just read a great post about the implications of duplicate content for sites after the most recent Panda update: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/duplicate-content-in-a-post-panda-world?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+seomoz+(SEOmoz+Daily+Blog) In the post is an image or crawl data history that shows months, not days or weeks, worth of trending data as it relates to duplicate content. So my question is this: How do I change my view/date range on my own campaigns so that I can view the trailing months of data rather than only what seems to be the past 4 weeks or so? This would really help me identify the impact of some on page changes we've recently made for a client. Many Thanks, Jared

Change campaign domain name
I have just changed the domain name on one of my sites, can i change the domain name of the reletive campaigns and keep the data, or do i have to set up a new campaigns?

Is there anyway i can change a campaign setting from root domain to domain?
Is there anyway i can change a campaign setting once it has been established from root domain to domain? I could just start a new campaign but that seems a bit of a pain.

Is there any way to change the domain in a campaign here?
When I started the campaign I used site.com but now I have an external blog at blog.site.com and is hosted on tumblr. This site gets lots of errors showing on the campaign because insists on following no-follows. If I change the campaign to www.site.com then blog.site.com will not be part of the campaign. It does say in the help that it will NOT track sub-domains, but it does and hence my problem. So, I am not sure if the rest of the info there is old. 'Does the Web App track the subdomains of my campaign’s domain?
Moz Pro | | oznappies
A. Unfortunately we do not currently track subdomains as a part of the
domain you enter. Instead, you must create another campaign slot for any
subdomains you wish to track.' Any ideas on where or how to do this?0
