Looking to out source some link building...
-
But I want to be VERY careful. I just want to out source some local listing etc... type of stuff. I am not looking to get thousands of links per client, I am looking for someone to check the local listings create, claim and edit as needed as well as reaching out to relevant local companies for links i.e. - we work with hotels and resorts, some have large meeting facilities so links from wedding photographers, event planners etc... just citing our clients as venues... etc...
Again, I am not looking for, nor do I want, and link schemes etc... just some legitimate building.
We are just getting too busy (not complaining)
Any suggestions?

Thank you yet again for the great advice. We have two major universities here in town... This is a wonderful idea!

I would look at recent English major college grads. They have trouble getting jobs and the jobs that they compete for are not paying well. They communicate well and are good at following rules and researching information sources.
And, they are better at content development than most other people simply because they are great writers. You can find English majors who graduated with honors to high honors easily because they are abundant and not finding work.

VP went for it. We are on the hunt for a part timer whom I will personally train. I am more of an on page guy but I did train with Eric Ward for 10 months (boss flipped the bill for that one!) and I do feel I have a very safe and organic approach. So if I can instill these methods in to a part timer there is a great chance they will quickly become full time.
Any one know anyone in Jacksonville, Florida looking for a part time job, LOL?!?!

Thanks, brother. All of your opinions are much appreciated!

Great... And... if they are in your office they are not going to find the honey pot and then call all of your competitors to sell them the same service that you just paid big bucks to research... then... in three months all competitors will outrank you again and you will be back in the market.
When you outsource you do not have proprietary data.

Whoever you choose, it is important to ask how much of the work they do will be outreach. Ask how they do it and hopefully they will say they sometimes pick up the phone to talk to the person responsible.
They should also be advising on why someone will want to link to you. Do you have genuine benefits you can offer to someone? If not yet, get them written / added.
As Egol said, steer well clear of anyone who you even think outsources their work. This will spell the end before you even start, and insist on updates weekly if they are not in the office.
There are some good link builders out there - finding them can be a little more awkward.

That is great advice. I walking to the VP's office now.
Thanks!

But I want to be VERY careful.
I would hire someone to work at the office part time. Then you can keep 'em on a short chain, peek over their shoulders, get status reports, and put on the brakes if things are jumping the track.
One of the best ways to get into an argument is to talk about "legitimate building"....Lots of companies would swear on stacks of Bibles (or other relevant literature) that they do only "legitimate building".... and things collapse as they outsource your work to somebody who outsources your work and the "legitimate building" message and interpretation really gets skewed.

How much links per month per location are you looking to create? (This might help some wanting to help)

Google Is Linking to Wrong Local Page - How To Change?
Hi All Thanks in advance for any support. I've setup two "local" pages to target the next door town for one of my clients. One page targets "t shirt printing" and one page targets "embroidered workwear" However when I search for "embroidered workwear town in question" google connects the search to my t-shirt printing page and not the embroidered workwear page. Would it be possible to advise on what I need to do for the correct page to be linked to the search term? Here is a link to the search term in question **https://tinyurl.com/vvgr5r5 ** and the page that we would like to appear in the results, not our tshirt printing page https://tinyurl.com/s77md9o Thanks in advance for any help

Looking for the best call tracking tool
As an agency for small business, we're currently looking for the best quality/price tool for call tracking. Basically, we just want to track calls from all the directory that we work with, including GMB listing. I know that Call Rail seems to be the obvious choice but in our context, we don't need all the features that Call Rail offers. (also, it needs to be NAP friendly) Thanks for all your comments/suggestions !

Http or https for citations and link building
I'm wondering what version of my website I need to use on Google My Business and link building etc.. I have setup https and am using a 301 redirect for all http traffic. My question now is, do I need to go to all of my current citations/links and update them to https? I would think the citations/links in-place will hit the 301 and it won't matter what I set. Duplicate content isn't a problem since the canonical version of the page is https. I can't get a clear answer on the web and can't find anything on Google's site that suggests one way or the other. I'd just like to have some feedback from my fellow Moziopians 🙂 -fencepencil

Multiple language in site links on SERP
hi there guys! I have this client that sells roofing reparation. His site is in two languages. In this image here, the green square are the results in english and red square in french. The picture is from a english SERP. What would you guys do to make sure that the SERP shows the right language to users on Google? It is very important for us to have both language separated. Our region is bilingual so, it's a big problem! The original language of the site is in french and I don't have any problem with this version. But when i checked the english side, there is this problem... mixing language in the SERP is not very good for my ROI. Thanks guys! toiture2.png

Local Link Building Question: High DA Chambers vs Low PA Trade Groups
Hi all, We've been researching relevant, real organizations in our area that allow members to link their websites from the directory. I've basically got two buckets of prospects: Chambers of commerce type sites with more authority (DA ~40+) but less relevance to our niche (injury law) Bar associations with less authority (DA ~20) but super relevant. Assuming that they cost the same and covered the same geographic area, which links would you go after if you had to choose one or the other? Thanks in advance.

Do business citations (without links) on penalised website have a negative effect?
Hi there I've been doing some research into directory sites that my clients are listed on and noticed that some appear to have flat-lined in organic search traffic indicating a penalty. I would like to know if clients with business citations on these penalised websites (without links to clients websites) will be having a negative effect on SEO? Thanks

Do Citations help will all local rankings/Pages on my website or just the page it's linked to
Hi All, My ecommerce site has different category/landing pages for each of my branches . I'm currently getting some more citations done as wondered the following Is it a general rule to say, that the more citations you have the better as long as they are consistent and free? Given that I have different categories /landing pages showing the NAP of my individual branches along with unique content, should all these extra citations help with local rankings across my whole site or is it usually just helping the specific localized webpage it's pointing to ? I can get a company to help me do my citations but to do all the branches, it is going to be quite expensive. Is citations quite a big individual SEO factor in local search as opposed to on page seo factors etc etc. Any advice greatly appreciated. thanks Peter
