Hi Everyone, I'm wondering what to do with form and thank you pages. I asked a question a long time ago about the contact page as noindex and was told by people that its better to leave it and write content for it and thats what we did.

Now I have a client that does self storage and they have 4 locations and each location has a reservation page with a basic form but no content. Each page also redirects to a thank you page with tracking codes.

There's a total of 6 "thank you" pages with different codes (this was done by yellow book). 4 "reserve your storage pages", 2 pages to pay for storage with iframes to 3rd party payment portals.

I was told to noindex these pages but I'm not sure so I'm asking here. I was also told to nofollow and remove them from sitemaps.

    Thanks

    Aron

          Hi Aron,

I agree with Samuel on this one, just make sure Google is just not able to find the thank-you pages. I would even add these pages to your robots.txt file to make sure they won't even reach these pages in their crawls.

Dr. Pete and others answered a similar question here. I agree with their sentiments: no-index any pages that may even come close to seeming "thin" or duplicates of other similar pages. Following Panda, you just don't want to risk it.

              Page Optimization Error

Hi, I am trying to track a page optimization feature for one of my project, https://shinaweb.com but i keep getting this below error: "PAGE OPTIMIZATION ERROR
There was a problem loading this page. Please make sure the page is loading properly and that our user-agent, rogerbot, is not blocked from accessing this page." I checked robots.txt file, it all looks fine. Not sure what is the problem? Is it a problem with Moz or the website?

How to deal with filter pages - Shopify

              Hi there, /collections/living-room-furniture/black
/collections/living-room-furniture/fabric Is that ok to make all the above filter pages canonicalised with their main category /collections/living-room-furniture Also, does it needs to be noindex, follow as well? Note - already removed the content from filter pages, updated meta tags as well. Please advice, thank you

              Page Title Length

Hi Gurus, I understand that it is a good practice is to use 50-60 characters for the a page title length. Google appends my brand name to the end of each title (15 characters including spaces) it index. Do I need to count what google adds as part of the maximum recommended length? i.e.
is the maximum 50-60 characters + the 15 characters brand name Google adds to the end of the title or 50-60 including the addition? Many thanks!
              Lev

Will it upset Google if I aggregate product page reviews up into a product category page?

We have reviews on our product pages and we are considering averaging those reviews out and putting them on specific category pages in order for the average product ratings to be displayed in search results. Each averaged category review would be only for the products within it's category, and all reviews are from users of the site, no 3rd party reviews. For example, averaging the reviews from all of our boxes products pages, and listing that average review on the boxes category page. My question is, will this be doing anything wrong in the eyes of Google, and if so how so? -Derick

              Home page or landing page?

Hello, I want to ask a question related to that - Should we put keywords in the home page title if we wish to position another landing page better for particular keywords? I have read in one website about SEO that it's good the main keywords of your website to be positioned in homepage title also. f.e. Let's say we have website about web-design and our company is named Company Ltd. The title of the home page is "Company Ltd.  - Web design, SEO, etc" We have also another inner page named "Web design | Company Ltd.". So should we leave the first page name only "Company Ltd." and the landing page's name "Web design | Company Ltd." . I don't know if they both have the same keyword in their title they won't compete with each other.

Is is ok to have multiple H2 or H3s?

Hi mozzers, I am wondering if the search engine gets bothered to read multiple heading 2s or heading 3s or heading4s (these would be unique content headings of course)? I am asking this because I need to follow a consistent content structure and many of titles would fall into one type of headings. Thanks Ty

              URL for location pages

Hello all We would like to create clean, easy URLs for our large list of Location pages. If there are a few URLs for each of the pages, am I right when I'm saying we would like this to be the canonical? Right now we would like the URL to be: For example
Domain.com/locations/Columbus I have found some instances where there might be 2,3 or more locations in the same city, zip. My conclusion for these would be: adding their Branch id's on to the URL
Domain.com/locations/Columbus/0304 Is this an okay approach? We are unsure if the URL should have city,State, zip for SEO purposes?
The pages will have all of this info in it's content
BUT what would be best for SEO and ranking for a given location? Thank you for any info!
