In wich side of seo would you guys class the Social media exchange?
White, Black or grey?
The principle of Social Media Exchange is to like social page to gain points. That you will give a part to people that likes your social media page.

Hi Bigrat,
I'm not sure what you mean by this...
You can target anyone you like with your marketing efforts - whether it's something they're interested in or not is not something I can answer.
Take a look at the Moz blog pages on using facebook for marketing, I'm sure you'll get an excellent strategy out of doing that! My one tip though is to always be honest: people can smell dishonesty even through their computer screens!
Good luck,
Amelia

Thanks for your answers! I won't spend my time on those but what if we can target multiple real people by location and interest just like Facebook?

I'd call it black hat. You're efforts will always be best spent on building value, trust and authority for your brand or company. Don't waste your time on buying false 'likes' or fake links, it'll come back and bite you on the ass eventually. And, anyway, you want your message to be put in front of people who actually want to hear it and do something about it (e.g. buy from you), not people who are paid to say they like it even if they don't. I imagine they aren't real people anyway - you'll be sending fake messages to fake people who will only share it with other fake people - none of this will increase your sales revenue!

In my honest opinion, I'd classify it as not something I'd spend my time or money on. That's not going to be my target market, they're not going to be accounts that are interested in what I have to say, and it's not going to do me any good when it comes to making money or getting my message out to the right people.

Recommended Social Media Scheduling platforms
I am currently using BufferApp to schedule my social media posts. My scheduling gets messed up at least once per month, where I lose posts or days are skipped, etc. without any changes (and even when I can see the expected schedule). I have used Hootesuite in the past and I like it, but I prefer Buffer when it works. Is there something else that works as good as Buffer used to? Thank you.

Is it possible to get high page ranking with no social media activity?
I'm curious to know how much social media effects the chances of being more highly ranked on Google. I appreciate it's important to 'be seen' by Google, but if articles/newsletters are being written, does it really matter if a business isn't using Twitter or Facebook, etc?

Are links from Pinterest 'do follow'/do they have any SEO benefit?
Afternoon all, I know there is a question about Pinterest that was asked in February but I guess it was a fairly new beast then and people were still unsure about its use for marketing/SEO etc. I run an events business and on our Pinterest profile I tend to pin random stuff I find on the net, themes we are running (directly from our website) and other Pinterest users. I have received several 're-pins' and people are really starting to follow us now. What I am keen to know is whether or not having lots of followers/re-pins on Pinterest has the same effectiveness from an SEO perspective as having lots of Facebook/Twitter/Google+ followers and whether or not these re-pins are 'do follow' links or have any SEO benefit whatsoever? Many thanks Rob ps: Pinterest page is http://pinterest.com/eventa/ , if anyone has any tips on how to better utilize this then that would also be greatly appreciated 🙂

Are you doing SEO on Twiiter and Facebook pages?
Seems to be a thought process emerging (CALL THE MEDIA!) that twiiter and facebook are having through various different paths a real ranking effect. Is anyone now doing SEO on a clients Social media page because of this. I know they are no follow. I am not sure they don't pass juice.

Social Accounts/Networks Multiple account management?
Having tried Yoono and Tweetdeck I'm leaning towards Tweetdeck for ease of use.... Managing 5 facebook accounts, 9 facebook pages and 6 twitter accounts at the moment... Any other suggestions for tool or software I should consider?
