How to invite email contacts to like your Facebook, LinkedIn
-
what message to write to invite email contacts to like your Facebook, LinkedIn
-
1. If your contacts know you enough (you know them personally or they have opt in to your newslettet) you can send them a newsletter type email (with some regular content) and link to yoour facebook to join. This will work if they see your name and recall "yes, I know this enitity"
2. If you are not that close to your contacts, use your email list as remarketing list and advertise on facebook to show your advt (which will ask them to like your facebook page). Even though it is paid, it can be very effective. Not many people realize that their email list has lot of throw away email addresses, email to which no one reads. With this solution atleast you are paying for ads only when your audience engages.

If it's someone from high school or my early work career, where they would have known me under my maiden name, I send them a note and let them know who it is. Otherwise, I personally only do friend / connection requests with people that I know will know who I am.
When I get a LinkedIn request from someone I don't know (and we have no connections in common, I have no community history, etc.) I'll report them as spam. When I get it from someone who might be familiar, I ask them to remind me how we know each other.
In short: be personal and don't spam.

Facebook Share from personal wall to fan page
Is it possible to share a post from someone's personal FB wall to a company fan page if they have the permissions set to allow this? I often get a message that a share was denied and I'm not sure if shares from personal to business fan pages are always denied or if this is controlled by the person's privacy settings.

Buying Facebook Likes...
I have been approached numerous times by these companies claiming to provide hundreds if not thousands of 'real' Facebook Likes. Has anyone have had any experience with them?

"Likes" on a photo gallery
From my understanding its best to get likes on a website rather then from within the Facebook page for SEO purposes. What is better to set up a photo gallery with a like button on each image so that every URL gets liked separately for each image or having a like button for the entire gallery. 10 likes on one page or 1 like on 10 pages?

How can you bulk search by email for social networks?
Hello Everyone! We're trying to launch a Social Media campaign for our website and in order to reach more people and follow/invite them to our social profiles we thought of finding them by their email addresses (i read a post somewhere - maybe seomoz, maybe not can't remember). Can anyone suggest a tool or best way of researching ~20.000 email addresses to find out / filter what social networks have this email registered? Much appreciated! Alex

How do website owners gain from facebook scams like this?
I've noticed two things that are going wild on Facebook this week: http://timhortonsgiveaway.me/ and http://promoforipads.net/ In the first scenario, you supposedly just click share and they'll send you a $25 Tim Horton's gift card. (For those who don't know Tim's it is a very popular coffee shop in Canada). There's no way this is happening...they claim to have something like 5000 cards to give away. In the second one they're apparently giving away 1000 ipods. Yeah...OK. So, they're obviously scams that are just trying to get a few zillion facebook shares. But why?

LinkedIn and SEO -- Is there a relationship?
I've analyzed the link profiles for 12 sites recently. I noticed that none included a link from LinkedIn, though each company had links on LinkedIn (I suspect this is because LinkedIn redirects outbound links). Are links on LinkedIn really good for SEO? (IE DO THEY PASS LINK JUICE !!!!!!!????) SuperStock_1491R-1130365.jpg linkedin.jpg linkedin-243x300.jpg
