How do i know that my website affected by Panda Updates ?
-
If website is affected by Panda updates then how do we know that? If have any type of tools or strategies or alert to find out affected website by Panda then update as soon as possible.
-
Assuming the website in question is meracareerguide.com. Check out this page for example:
Here is what's found on the page:
Hi ronit,
The college selections depends on the course you are interested in. ISI offers two bachelors courses B.statistics and B.maths.
Where IIT's are the best choice to opt for Btech courses. Would suggest you to decide the courses of your interest and choose college according to that. All the best
The content is not only sub-optimal from Grammar point of view but also from the English language structure perspective. Such low quality content does not tend to rank high in search engines. You should get the content thoroughly proof read before posting it on your website. This is just one such an example.
You should also revisit your website monetization methods as the pages are dominated with ads than quality content. For example, this page:
You should seriously look at your URL structure also. There are too many issues with the website from an SEO standpoint and only a qualified SEO expert can guide you in the right direction.
-
But how do can recognize about website content quality?
-
The content should be unique, accurate, up-to-date, very useful to your visitors and above all, should serve the purpose of their visit to your pages.
Unless we have a look at the website in question, we would be just throwing stones in the dark.
I would highly recommend you to get your website audited by a qualified SEO expert.

How do i know about my website content quality is good or bad?
-
I'm afraid that Devanur-Rafi is right - you can check for Panda/Penguin (and other named update) impact by lining up traffic drops with known update dates, but there are many, many things that can cause ranking drops that happen outside of named updates. These include manual penalties (check Google Webmaster Tools), technical/crawl issues, and even non-penalty quality issues. Google could filter a page or simply lower your rankings, and it might not align with any known update. If it's algorithmic, you won't get a message.
The key is segmentation:
(1) Which keywords took losses? Are these broad terms or long-tail terms? Is there a pattern? Are you over-optimizing for these terms.
(2) Which pages took losses? Are these pages being indexed? Are they technically sound (returning proper headers, loading quickly, etc.)?
(3) Has something changed in the competitive landscape. In other words, have you dropped or has someone else gone up? The net effect is the same, but the cause is very different. Maybe Google doesn't dislike you - they just like someone else better suddenly.
(4) Is there a seasonal issue? How does this pattern compare to last year? Has something happened in your industry or market?
I know that's a lot, but these are difficult problems without easy answers. I hope that helps a bit.

No matter which wave of Panda update from Google, if your website has been hit by it, it clearly tells you to have a look at your content and its quality. Thin content pages and pages with low quality content will be the victims of Panda. This is the time revisit your content strategy.
-
If any website affected by Google Panda 4.1 update then what should be do? I mean what kind of activities follow for safety purpose of our website?
-
Now, this is a very open-ended question and unless we do some SEO forensics or an audit, we might not be able to give specific reasons for the drop in traffic. If you can share the details of the website, probably, we will be in a better position to address your query.
Best regards,

Hi,
You can try the following tool:
Llogin to your Google Analytics account and visit this URL:
http://www.barracuda-digital.co.uk/panguin-tool/
Give read-only access to the application and check if this website has been hit by any of the Google updates like Panda or Penguin. That's a quick way to see if you were hit by a Google penalty.
Best regards,
Devanur Rafi

Website Essentially Delisted and Top SERPS Removed
So what a morning.... Did a search for our website and looked to see how we were doing with a couple of search terms and it turns out our website is GONE. I mean not a slap down or fluctuations in positioning but we are literal gone. I see that the contact page is pulls up on page 8 but effectively we dont exist. This is so odd and strange that i feel that this is a dream. The fact that we dont pull up on any search terms anymore is of a concern that this is something more than a penalty. What on Earth could have caused this? This is fluke? Can i call Google? Seems that index page has been removed from the search results Website www.catdi.com Catdi Printing Search Terms Houston Printing Houston Direct Mail EDDM Printing EDDM Help! C

Right way to delete and update old blog-posts?
Hi all, Rand Fishkin once tweeted about success story of Quickbooks blog as they deleted their old and outdated content to show only high quality content to their audience. We are planning to implement the same strategy to our blog which consists of 800+ blog-posts. I'm just wondering the best way to proceed on this and planning to follow as below. Please correct me if I'm wrong and if there are any better steps of follow: Get the list of blog-posts. Check the traffic of each blog-post. If the blog-post needs to be existed, update any info on the blog. If the blog no more needed, do I need to delete or noindex or redirect? What's the better way to measure the success? Thanks

Time For New Website To Rank?
We've been working on a site for the past couple months and going to be launching in a couple weeks. How long does it take for Google to establish a "stabilized" ranking for the site and various pages? The main homepage will have its targeted keywords and each product page will have its own targeted keywords. We have about 100 total pages for the site. I know rankings may fluctuate initially but trying to get an idea of when the rankings are stabilized before we start working on the ongoing SEO like earning backlinks, changing on-page optimization, etc to be able to track changes in rankings over time.

Why only a few pages of my website are being indexed by google
Our website www.navisyachts.com has in its sitemap over 3000 pages of information, and this is all unique content written by our team. Now Google Webmaster central shows only 100 urls indexed from 3500 submitted. Can you help me understand why and how I can fix this issue? The website has 4 years old, is a Joomla 3.3 up to date. It has part of the content in the Joomla core content systems and part in K2. Thank you. Pablo

Are Panda/Penguin Penalties not Global but only fired for specific Google CCTLDs?
An international portfolio of web sites has been suffering from Panda and Penguin over the last months. Essentially many of the international sites completely disappeared from the top 50 when before we had many Top 5 positions for competitive key words. Today we noticed that it appears that for all this time rankings for local keywords have not been affected for domains outside of the most relevant Google CCTLD for the page. To give an example: Domain.it / Keyword 1 (IT) = Italian Competitive Keyword Google.it: Keyword 1 (IT) April 2012 Position 4

Google.it: Keyword 1 (IT) December 2012 Position --- Google.com: Keyword 1 (IT) April 2012 Position 1
Google.com: Keyword 1 (IT) December 2012 Position 1 Google.de: Keyword 1 (IT) April 2012 Position 3
Google.de: Keyword 1 (IT) December 2012 Position 4 Have other people observed such behavior? Does this give any pointers towards how the recovery strategies should be drafted? We have experienced that the more search volume a keywords has received the harder the Panda/Penguin impact. So one hypothesis could be that because the international Google domains do not receive overly significant traffic for the localized keywords Panda/Penguin protection algorithms are not being applied with the same force. Any thoughts are welcome. /Thomas1 -
Google Analytics session update question
Hello, With reference to seomoz blog post - http://www.seomoz.org/blog/panda-24-and-analytics-session-update-rolled-out-simultaneously#jtc151292 , i would like clarification about the following - User searches Google for "Product Name" and clicks on your AdWords advertisement. User leaves site and searches a few more times, click on competition and comparing prices and features. User ultimately decides to with your product, Googles "Your Brand + Product Name", clicks your organic listing, and buys the product. This whole process takes less than 30 minutes. "Your Brand + Product Name" will appear in your organic keyword report with 1 visit. My question is whether "Product Name" will also appear in organic keyword report with 1 visit if the visitor is not signed in. ( as search won't be encrypted ) Thanks

If a page bounces in the woods, can Google Panda hear it?
I have read that after the Panda update a site's bounce rate is an important ranking metric. However, can anyone confirm whether all pages count equally? For instance, my home page gets 5000% more traffic than Deep Page X. If Deep Page X has a poor bounce rate, does it matter as much as if my Homepage has a bad bounce rate? I am guessing not, but wanted to open it up for discussion. If not, it has me wondering on what to do for some of my database driven content. I have some dynamically created pages that have higher bounce rates and minimal unique content. They aren't pure spam or junk, but are likely only about 1% unique from one another. Sounds like a no brainer change post-Panda, right? Well, what if I was the only one targeting the keywords for these pages? The pages pull from info I stored on the U.S. government stimulus program (related to my industry). It then has just about every city, state and county combo in the country for my product. For instance, a page
might be "Flemington, NJ Widgets - Somerset County". Something that no one else is targeting and drives minimal traffic.

Do I take this content down? I didn't have any affects, positive or negative from Panda, so I am hesitant to take down thousands of Google cached pages.
