Domain Authority Drop 4 Points
-
Hi,
Our DA has dropped 4 points overnight, looking at our competitors they all seem to have dropped though none as significantly as us?
Has anyone else noticed a DA drop?
Kind regards,
-
Just for the sake of documenting it, our DA dropped 5 points too, our main competitor dropped just by 2 points. We have 1.4k backlinks, they do have 140k backlinks.
-
Same story here. Ranking has dropped from #5 on the search we want, down to #7. DA dropped by 4 and competitors dropped too. Main competitors DA dropped by 9 though!! One of the main differences between our site and our main competitors is the number of outbound links they have. We have around 700 and they have over 20,000. Yet our ranking has dropped but not as much as their DA...
Confused

We dropped 4 points, also more than our competitors. However, our ratings have improved aside of Linking C Blocks. If anyone has more information about this, I'd love to hear about it.
Our Google ranking has stayed the same thus far even through the update.
-
Hey there! Yep ours dropped by 2 points overnight and competitors did the same.
-
Ours dropped by two points. This is some BS.
-
Open Site Explorer updated yesterday, so that might have something to do with it. Domain Authority can change, depending on the index. [If you look back over old questions, you see that this comes up every so often. http://moz.com/community/q/domain-authority-drops#reply_209933 ]

Our dropped two points as did our competitors. I wouldn't worry too much. I'm curious if this is a result of the most recent Google Penguin release.
-
Ours dropped 5 points. We moved from http to https in the meanwhile, I don't know if that is related.

Keyword Research: Page Authority and Keyword Difficulty
A speaker at a conference suggested using your Page Authority (of home page) number as a benchmark in keyword research to compare against keyword difficulty number. So if you had a Page Authority score of 60, you would look for keywords with a difficulty of under 60 (using the MOZ metrics for keyword difficulty). Has anyone used these metrics in this way? Any success?

Changing domain from .net to .se
Hi Guys, We have someone in the process of changing our domain from an 11 year old domain to a newer country domain of .se, He is not a web expert although he knows a lot of things. I am just wondering is there a checklist anywhere of things that are very important here that we should be aware of or he should be implementing so we can just double check that he is/ we are moving in the correct direction. Thank you for your Help. Rootin and Tootin xx

Local Rankings Drop?
G'morning! I got a disturbing report this morning that showed seven of our big keywords drop from high on the first page to not in the top 50. After further research I have found that we are now in Google's local cluster, but no longer on the traditional organic results. My question is this, has Google changed something that doesn't allow results in the local cluster AND in the traditional organic listings? I'm assuming that this is the case because we're doing smart SEO and have built these rankings up nicely over time, but then just fell off the face of the earth. I have attached a snapshot of Moz's Ranking History for a few of the keywords, as I assume this will help explain the story. (We're in green). Any insight would be much appreciated. Why does SEOmoz assign such a high Domain Authority to subdomains on blogspot, typepad, wordpress.com, etc.?
I thought it was generally accepted that the search engines treat joesmith.wordpress.com and www.wordpress.com as completely different domains. In which case, a cute but obscure blog like http://monkeysalwayslook.typepad.com/ has no business having a DA of 95.

Finding page authority for a list of sites
I went to Distilled's linklove conference earlier this week. Many of the presenters showed spreadsheets where they had pulled in Page Authority for a long list of sites. What tool can you use to quickly do this? For instance, I want to be able to copy a list of 100 sites into a tool and have it spit out the PA for every site...anybody know how to do this?

Falling Domain Authority
What are the factors that would cause my domain authority to fall? As best I understand it, we would have to be losing links. For example, one of my clients started with a DA around 60 and now 4 months on it is sitting around 47. This has happened with a couple clients and I'm not really sure why or how to counteract it.

Domain Authority is up, how do I find out what changed?
Hi, I’m a noob so if this is a really obvious question, I apologize. Our domain authority increased this week. I wonder if there is any easy way to find out what changed. (We didn’t do anything.) Thank you! Ann
