Home page ranking dropped below internal pages

The index page for a site I manage has dropped significantly - internal pages rank above it. It's a new site, 2 months old but was ranking at 1st. Any suggestions as to how I can debug this?

Agree are you talking about a specific keyword ? It could make sense that an internal page would be ranking higher than a homepage on a keyword due to on-page content of the page.

How exactly did you determine your internal pages rank above the home page?
What quantity and quality of backlinks do you have for your internal pages and home page?

Ranking dropped after change single page url, should I change it back?
I was making updates to the content on the following page, and a few days later dropped from #2 SERP ranking to 50+. Things I checked: Yes, 301 redirect was implemented right away. After publishing, I manually requested indexing in search console. Right after publishing I re-submitted the sitemap manually and Google said they had not crawled it in 9 days. Wrong pages ranking for specific keywords
Hi moz community We're currently experiencing a lot of our pages ranking for the wrong keyword in the SERPS. Take "womens ski wear" for example, the page rainking via Google links to https://www.dare2b.com/womens/jackets-coats/ When we have an optimized page here https://www.dare2b.com/womens/shop-by/activity/ski/ that imo is more suitable and has the correct H1, meta tile etc. So I'm at a loss to see why google see the jackets page more relevant? Any help on this much appreciated

If I put 'keyword/url' combination to 'stop run weekly', will it dissapear from the summary page in the on-page grader?
The summary page of the on-page grader chooses the keyword and url combination itself. Now if I choose another combination, I would like the former to dissapear from the summary page. The only option is 'stop running weekly'. But will it disappear from the list also?

Dropped rankings due to too many links, help needed
We have just re-designed our site and added a big drop-down navigation menu to help users get straight to the category/sub-category they are looking for, take a look at http://www.discountfiresupplies.co.uk to see what I mean. Since doing so our rankings have dropped which we've been told may be because there are now so many links on (particularly) the home page diluting the rankings of that page. We've been advised that if we hide the drop-down menus using "style='display: none'" until they are required that the search engines will ignore them which we have now done but is this correct or will they still be indexed? Do product pages need unique content or does having duplcate content hurt on those pages?
We are adding product rapidly to our website but this requires allowing duplicate to exist on our product pages of furniture-online.com. From an SEO standpoint do we need to make this content unique for each product. Since we aren't link building to specific product pages and we don't anticipate product pages being found in a search result, are we ok leaving the duplicate content in place and spending our dollars elsewhere?
