What is the real impact of schemas

What is the real impact of schema?
I have been working in a project, a small hostel, and I decided implement structured markup, schemas.org and so on.So my question is, what the real impact/benefits of it.
My website will perform better?
does will get better rank ? -
In this case I'm trying to implement schema in a local business and as you mention I'm trying to create as many schemas as I can.
Thank you for your time.

Thanks Logan for your answer.
As you recommend me, I will start to track my Google Analytics metrics and Search Console looking for an unusual behavior.I have been researching about it and schemas can help, but there is no any real guide or study or post or any other resource that can tell us, hey the schema can increase your search visibility in 5% or 1% or what ever.

Hi Roman,
In addition to Logan's smart tips, I'd add that I wouldn't view schema as a ranking vehicle, per se. I'd view it as a way to make sure that a search engine like Google has received the maximum amount of very clear information about your business and what it offers. Schema brings clarity, and better or broader rankings can come from that clarity in some cases. Additionally, for local businesses, onsite original reviews that are marked up with review schema can sometimes lead to the display of review stars within the organic results, which can improve clickthrough rates.

Hi Roman,
It's very difficult to say how your site will be impacted by adding schema markup. What I'd recommend doing is adding a notation in Google Analytics for when the schema was added to the site and do before & after analysis. I'd recommend looking at all your typical Google Analytics metrics, i.e. organic traffic, site engagement (did the schema attract more qualified users?), and any other metrics you focus on. In addition to GA analysis, I would also run a before & after analysis in Search Console, where you get pre-click metrics like impressions, clicks, average position. If you've got a rank tracking tool, I'd check there too for any noticeable improvements.
Hope that's helpful!

Inputting Schema for Website When Using a Markup Generator
Hi Guys, I think this may be fairly straightforward but couldn't find an answer online. I wish to input Schema on a website and have generated the JSON-LD markups for a local business. 1. Do I just add this into the header and if so should it be at the start or end? 2. Do I just add to the homepage? 3. If I have multiple markups (Local Business, Website, etc.) do I put them all in one header Thanks! Jack

Evidence that high organic rankings impact positioning in the Google local pack?
I'm looking for articles/evidence that if you have a high ranking organic listing that it will improve your chances of being in the local pack. I came across this about a year ago, but I have had trouble finding articles to support this. Does anybody know of any recent articles and/or studies that show a correlation of high organic listings and local pack visibility? Thanks!

Need some strategy advice for Real Estate Attorneys in competitve locations
I am working with a real estate attorney in NJ. there are 17 real estate attorneys within 5 miles of my clients location. I need some strategic advice to rank my client higher quickly 2-3 month range. I have had him as a client since the begging of his practice (just opened in February 2016) I created the website and embarked on a content marketing strategy, this has produced slight raises in traffic. What could I do better to get him in local packs and generally raise to first page for long tail keywords? ( my other clients have not been so difficult but they also are not in such a competitive atmosphere)

Would two telephone numbers on a website affect NAP consistency? One is the "actual" business number with Schema, the other is a call tracking number.
Hello! I have two telephone numbers listed on a website - one is the "actual" business number and is utilizing proper schema, while the other is a call tracking number featured more prominently on the site (both in the header and above the "actual" business number in the footer). The code looks like this: New Patients: 999-555-5555 Current Patients: 555-555-5555 Does Google prioritize the "actual" business number because it has the proper schema on it? Or would the call tracking number still be counted and affect NAP consistency for Local SEO? Thanks!

Google + / Local for Business. How to SEO ?... Done the basic but no real change.
Hi All, We have set up all of our Google local for business pages which are verified and these link to the relevant branch pages on our website. The branch pages also link back to the relevant google local page. We only appear for one category on the google local pages and we have also done a large number of citations (NAP) across all locations and the text used in each of the google pages is keyword rich and we mention the city in there as well to localise it. We have a few google + likes and we have used hootsuite to publish the same content across some of the google local pages which links back to our website blog , we are not appearing in local search whereas our competitors seem to be appear for all their branches. Is there any fundamental tips or things we need to do to def. get up on the rankings.. Or any good articles worth reading ?.. I've had a look but can't seem to see anything relating a google local business bible.. thanks Pete

Strategy for a business that has many service locations, but no real storefront?
I've struggled for a few years now trying to find the right solution. Say a client (home services contractor) has only one "location" - only one physical address from which they manage operations. This is not a retail store, not an office where customers would go. Technicians are dispatched to a 50 mile radius to provide service. This 50 mile radius includes a large metro area and many small cities. Let's take Austin, TX for example. Let's say Contractor ABC has it's office/warehouse in a smaller city just north, Round Rock, and the office's zip code is 78664. But they provide service to all of Austin and some surrounding cities such as Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Lakeway, Buda, etc. Their competitor, Contractor XYZ, services the exact same areas, but they have the benefit of having a physical address in the heart of downtown Austin, zip 78701. How does Contractor ABC effectively compete for rankings in Austin as well as the rest of the service area? More specifically, what is the best practice for handling NAP in this scenario? Most recently our strategy has been to enter the actual physical address where required (not trying to pull one over on google and trusting that google makes the correlation to the metro area) and where we can, we just put the metro (Austin, TX for example). This is also for display purposes so that a potential customer in Austin or Buda doesn't think, "Oh, this company is in RoundRock, this is not for me." I have multiple clients in this scenario and would like to have more clarity in this strategy before signing them up for MozLocal - P.S. any feedback on the current usefulness of that platform is also welcome!

Is it better to stick with a generic LocalBusiness Schema Itemtype for a particular type of business or should you get more specific?
Full disclosure... I don't know much about proper Schema Markup. I'm curious about how specific everyone gets when generating the markup for different types of businesses that service a local area and rely heavily on Local Maps listings. For instance, I have a bunch of self-storage facility clients. Is it better to just keep it generic like any other Local Business? Here's 2 examples... which one is better: <div id="search-area" itemid="facility" itemtype="http://schema.org/SelfStorage" itemscope=""> <a style="color: #ffffff" href="http://goo.gl/maps/SjmZ"> <span itemid="facility" itemtype="http://schema.org/SelfStorage" itemscope=""> <span itemprop="name">Elliot Kyrene Storage Solutionsspan>span><br>a>

Right page to place the Schema code for global business
I have two questions: 1. Schema code for Global business: As a company which works with clients across the globe, we like to create a well defined schema that doesn't limit and appear as a Local Business to Google. I assume "http://schema.org/LocalBusiness" means a local business to Google. If we use it, will be be affecting the ranking in global searches? 2. Page and location to keep the code What could be the best place to keep the schema code in a web page? - Homepage/ About us page / contact us page and Footer links are the options. I hope applying CSS on it too wouldn't be an issue. Looking forward to learning your thoughts.
