My 2 Target Keywords Rank In Top 10 But Don't Show Up...?
-
Hi,
My 2 target keywords definitely rank in the top 10 in the USA version of Google but they dont show up in SEOMOZ rank checker...I started using SEOMOZ abour a week or so ago and in 2 consecutaive ranking checks they haven't shown up...
Market Samurai says they're 4 and 8 respectively, I can see them in the top 10 of Google and various USA proxies show they're in the top 10...
Is there a glitch with SEOMOZ or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
James

Hi James,
There are a number of things that can affect results - A few of the things that may be influencing your conflicting results include:
- It is my understanding that SEOmoz Rankings are based upon non-personalized and non-regionalized results
- I believe that SEOmoz take into account embedded local results if they appear, but do not include them if they appear in a 6, 8 or 12 pack.
- There have been recent anecdotal reports that searchers using the Google Chrome browser are receiving vastly higher ranking results than those seen in Firefox and IE.
If you feel that there is a problem with your Rankings Report, the best thing to do is to email the Help Team (help [at] seomoz.org) and ask them to take a look for you. Be sure to provide them any information you have regarding manual checks and results from other tools.
Hope that helps,
Sha

Search Volume for a Keyword
I assume this questions has probably been covered many times, if so I am sorry for asking it again, for whatever reason, I am not finding the answer I require, so I would appreciate some help. I would like to know the search volume for a keyword. I remember I used to get this information on Google Adwords account, it no longer displays it the same. I want to know if Moz or even Google for that matter provide this tool in a simple way. So if I entered a keyword, I would get the volume of searches Globally as well as locally either on a per month or a per day basis and it would be broken down as exact match or broad etc. This was a great feature before. I would love to access the same thing again. Thanks you.

How to change the compare date range on the keyword rankings report?
I'm new to SEO Moz, but not to SEO. I like SEOMoz's keyword rankings, but I also like to show clients improvement (hopefully) from the previous months' ranks. The default appears to be 1-week. How can you show improvement/decline from the previous month?

Meaning of Keyword difficulty
Before joining SEOMoz I used to calculate Keyword difficulty with my own method based on keyword density, presence of synonyms, Page rank, title and URL. This seemed to rather well work and I reach 1st page on a fairly regumar basis by picking good difficulty / interest ratio keywords and only onsite optimization. (No link building) I just looked @Keyword analysis in SEOMoz. It seems it is only based on page / site autority. Is this correct? Do you believe keyword and synonym density is irrelevent? Do I need to set back to my home recipe if I want to include keyword analysis in my difficulty assessment ? Thx

Local Rankings Drop?
G'morning! I got a disturbing report this morning that showed seven of our big keywords drop from high on the first page to not in the top 50. After further research I have found that we are now in Google's local cluster, but no longer on the traditional organic results. My question is this, has Google changed something that doesn't allow results in the local cluster AND in the traditional organic listings? I'm assuming that this is the case because we're doing smart SEO and have built these rankings up nicely over time, but then just fell off the face of the earth. I have attached a snapshot of Moz's Ranking History for a few of the keywords, as I assume this will help explain the story. (We're in green). Any insight would be much appreciated. Keyword Ranking weekly update didn't happen
A new campaign of mine is supposed to update its keyword rankings on Wednesdays but as of Thursday morning it didn't happen. I've got the original stats from the first few keywords I added when the campaign was set up, but nothing for the keywords that were added in the next day. Previous experience with this tool was pretty reliable so I'm just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same thing.

Why doesn't Open Site Explorer recognize the link from my twitter profile?
When I run a report on my competition I'm seeing their link show up in OSE's report under the "Linking Domains" tab, but when I put my site in there, it doesn't recognize my link from my twitter profile. Any ideas?

2 SEO questions
Hello everyone 🙂 I have two questions for all you fine seo people this morning... 1 - Is there a website that I could go to to make sure that I do not have duplicate content floating around on the web that I am not aware of? Sometimes people take information from my site and post it as their own and I want to make sure that google does not ping me for it. 2 - Does anyone know how I can report a spam site to google? I have filled out the reports many times over the past year and posted it in the webmaster discussion forum and it is still up there 🙂 I sent one email to bing and the next day they contacted me with a thank you email and indicated that I was 100% correct and they removed the site from their index. Thank you all!!!!
