Web Strategy Conundrum

I run a business that offers eco friendly screen printing. Let's call it ECO SHIRT SHOP. We offer a specialized type of printing thru the website, then contract to printers throughout the US to execute the printing. (They each have their own distinct print businesses that they operate as well.) As of now we only divulge that we have print facilities in places like chicago, seattle, etc. but do not display addresses as we do not want to confuse customers.
By not displaying these addresses, I feel we are missing huge opportunities to be listed by services like Yelp, Google places, etc - consequentially losing highly convertible geography specific search traffic.
Ques: The print shops are open to us displaying facility address info, even somehow saying that Print Shop X prints for the ECO SHIRT SHOP network. I want to be transparent with customers and get more localized traffic, but don't want to confuse operations or give away business.
For all you strategy guru's out there, how would you handle this? I am at a cross roads, and how we move forward is hugely important for the future of our business.

I am all for helping out my printing partners. We have developed an extensive website with very solid product info. That's been our strength - and what drives a lot of long tail traffic for us.
My main fear is that if I simply post their addresses as OUR production facilities (which they are) I might in some way confuse the customer. Worse yet, have them of the mind that we are somehow trying to greenwash our business. I would like to be transparent without confusing the customers. Again, I'm happy to mention their names in support of this, just not sure the best way to do it.

If you have one website, you will only get one location in google places. If you have more then one website you will split your ranking efforts.
I agree with Alan.
I would be helping my partners rather than treating them as competitors. Have you considered helping them with great content for your products? Or linking to them so people in their locality can find them more easily?

do you post these prints to the customer or do they pick them up?
If you post they dont need to know where from
if they pick them up then showing the addresses will IMO get you more business than you will lose,as they will wonder why they cant know up front. Never give a customer anything to be suspicious about, getting a customer online is like trapping a rabbit, one false move and they are out of there.

Can you recommend any USA web testers
Hi We are a UK based company who sell in the US, DE, FR and AU. We have been selling in the USA for a few years now, mainly through Amazon and few key retailers we have a website for direct sales but we are finding extremely difficult to convert our traffic. we are looking ta conversion rates of 0.19% We have over 2000 email subscriber list which we are emailing on regular basis, from a first person perspective, telling them the befits of products, competitions etc using soft sell tactics. We have a large Facebook, pinterest and twitter following The site functions well there's room for improvement but in the UK the sales are a lot higher. I'm looking for a way to test our site on an american audience tos ee if we are conveying the right messages. Although we speak pretty much the same language what our customers in UK like could be completely different? Blogging/content strategy
While personal blogging & branding is pretty typical for those in a service/b2b industry, when it comes to CEOs/owners of retail businesses - not so much. We have a company blog right now that is heavy on company news and updates - and will be working towards being more informational/educational. But, in the meantime, it's difficult getting the ok to contribute to contributor based article/resource sites - such as http://smallbiztrends.com, since the business blog, by nature, is promotional. (our clients are both business & consumer) Assuming, we can generate enough content, my suggestion is to have the owner create a personal blog which will be purely information and educational, and use that blog to account for the owner's expertise and use those articles as means to get accepted as a contributor at highly prized sites. At the same time, we would still have a business blog that combines educations & company news/promotional. Does this seem like a sound strategy? or is it better to just build up the company blog as an educational resource. Will reputable sites be ok with an educational company blog?

Responsive web design should I bother? If it isn’t broke don’t fix it?
One of my new businesses is letting holiday cottages and on a few occasions expert web designers have suggested that I should have a redesign because my Dreamweaver website is looking dated and maybe not the best navigation system. The website started off a couple of years ago with one cottage owned by me and I designed the website and I’m certainly not the professional by any means. http://www.endeavourcottage.co.uk/ The only reason I have not invested in a redesign ( although I’m thinking of it once again seriously at the moment ) is because the website has developed into a small letting agency now with eight properties and it’s doing okay with reasonably good search engine listings achieving good occupancy rates on most of the properties. The feedback from people booking cottages is often complimentary regarding how they visualise the properties. I get the feeling this could be because the subject of this website is old world cottages in at old characterful fishing port and possibly the people booking holidays like the personal unpolished website approach, rather than the larger faceless but professionally designed agencies websites, if you get my meaning. In the future of the company grows I can see how will have no choice but have professional template and navigation structure that maybe at this stage it’s just not worth doing? I’ve attached a snapshot of my analytics which shows that when social media like Facebook traffic look at the website there is slightly more people are using mobiles and desktop computers but they seem to stay a similar period of time a look at a similar number of pages so there must be finding site navigation reasonable. What do you think would you go for a redesign at this stage and if so what would be the major advantages? analytics.JPG

Best strategies for alcoholic beverages online store
Hi, we are now creating an strategy for an online store that sells alcoholic beverages and also drinks to mix with them (for example for creating cocktails). The company is located in Spain and wants to begin selling in France. We are thinking of optimizing SEO of the online store, but it is a little difficult cause the description of drinks are really similar, and the inner text too. (Gin is Gin, and you can't describe many things about it. The brand changes, and also the bottle, but it is very difficult to describe a product like that) So we are thinking of creating a content marketing strategy and alsoa social community using facebook and twitter, and so on. As allways we are thinking of a blog and placing the contents there and then distribute then in social networks.... As the the products are alcoholic drinks, we thought that we could give people ideas and recipes of cocktails, and also to create videos about how to prepare those cocktails.But I am not sure about this strategy, specially about the video generation, cause as the products are alcoholic beverages, I am not sure about the policies of Youtube about that kind of issues. I tried to search on the Web and find nothing. This kind of content is for adults only? If so, should we create it anyway? Is it worth it? What kind of strategies will you apply to gain visibility for an store like this? I will apreciatte your comments and advices. Thank you!

Social Media Accounts for International Strategies
Hi! we have a client that wants to begin doing business in Italy and France. As they don't sell directly to final customer, they need to generate brand awareness first in those market. We are thinking of a content marketing strategy. As they are a furniture company and they create a very nice product, we think we can work a lot with pictures and articles. We think that Pinterest, Picassa and flickair will all be very important for the strategy. For sure, we know they should create a Facebook Account for each country, but what happens with twitter, pinterest, flickair, youtube ...? Should they also create an account for each country? They are not a very big company, and I am not sure about if they would be able to generate enough content for each account if they have an account per country. What do you think? One account per country or can we avoid that for some social networks? Thank you!

Sites we can submit web design news to...
Hey Mozzers - happy 2013 to one and all, I hope everyone had a great festive season! Now we're all back into the swing of things, we're in the process of getting our new website up and running. We're a web and graphic design agency, and I'm putting together checklists to ensure we get new projects some coverage where deserved. There will be a different checklist for the different disciplines - brand design, packaging, web design and so on. For many of these disciplines, there are multiple news sites that we can reach out to when we have relevant stories - Dieline for packaging, for example. But for web design, any searches I do either show up CSS Galleries / portfolios (which I already have on the checklist under another section) or web tutorial sites. I don't seem to be able to find decent, trustworthy sites that exclusively feature web news. I'm sure they exist and it's just a case of 'can't see for looking', but does anyone know of decent sites that carry news stories about new websites going live? Obviously we know not every new site will be newsworthy - and indeed we wouldn't try to submit every new site we have go live for that very reason - but it would be good to have a clutch of high authority, well visited sites to turn to when we do have something of note. Has anyone got any hotel (small) web marketing tips or tricks
I have a client who ranks well for his boutique hotel both in Google search and Google places. The problem now is he needs to fill his rooms next week (type of thing). We are down the Google Adwords route already. But clicks are super expensive (competing against the big hotels). We have also been trying to get his social media rolling and have started a light ad campaign on FB but I can't see clicks translating into our Google analytics account. (so not sold on it but is a lot cheaper than Google adwords) Next on the list is email marketing which we be getting ready for next week to his existing database. And we have been thinking about paid Press Releases but not sure if its worth it. (PRWEB or Prnewswire) One big bonus is he got a number 1 award on Tripadvisor a few months back (which radically spiked hits on site). So, a more long term solution is to approach media directly with a follow up story to the award but that's going to take a bit of time. Anyone had any experience with hotel marketing? Any insights would be great. Thanks
