Onpage SEO Analysis within a campaign
-
I have setup a campaign and have a number of pages which are ranked as F, but that is because they are comparing against the homepage and not the internal page I have setup. Is it possible to update the page which the campaign monitor is checking against. Or is it driven by the highest ranking page for that keyword.
Thanks
Andy

ah great, it was the run weekly report bit I was missing. I will start updating my campaigns.
Thanks

Good news, you can set up the On-page reports to grade any URL you desire.
By default, the On-page function generates reports for keywords ranking in the top 50 of your given search engine, for the URL showing in the search result. But sometimes this is not the URL you wish to grade.
For example, your "Contact Us" page ranks #5 for the keyword phrase "Yellow Shoes" and the Web App grades it a B. What if you really want to target your homepage for this keyword phase? Here’s how:
1. Hit Report Card at the top of the On-page summary.
2. Choose your Keyword you want to grade. The keyword must already be included in your campaign. Select Manage Keywords if you need to add keywords.
3. Enter the URL of the page you would like to grade.
4. Hit Grade My On-Page Optimization to generate your report.
To stop a particular keyword/URL combination, you can hit "Stop Running Weekly" button on the report card page itself. It's also possible to grade multiple URLs for the same keyword.

I have had that problem before, that time i deoptimized the page in question and SEOmoz switched page for me. As far I as know you cant edit witch page seomoz ranks manually. Any one know for sure? I think it's a good mashup between most relevant, linking sites/ ancor text and ranking. Any one know for sure?
Any way try deomptimizing your on-site for that page it will probably give you better rankings too.

Will Repeating Shipping Info on product pages affect SEO?
Hi Mozzers, Just wondering what your thoughts are on repeating Shipping Info on each product page? Example: http://www.vintageheirloom.com/classic-black-tweed-shoulder-bag-1368793069 I guess I could simply link to the Shipping Page, but it takes the user away from the product page, not good user experience. Other big brand sites seem to do this, but it just struck me this could be looked as duplication. Any thoughts on anything I'm doing wrong, always appreciated. Cheers, Kevin

SEO Location Pages - ALT Image Tag Question
Hello Guru's, I have a Hire Website whereby you can rent products online. I have created different Location pages for these which are in essence the same pages page but with different location specific urls, title tags , on page content etc etc. This helps me to rank for local search. These location pages also display 20 products per page. My question is Should I make the ALT IMAGE TEXT location specific for each of the 20 products . Example - Steam Cleaner Rental in "location" or should I only amend a few of the Atl Image Texts to be location specific. I don't want to come accross as spammy in google eyes but I also don't want to be seen as having duplicate content , images etc etc What do you think ? thanks Sarah.

Seo-friendly way to post blog content to homepage?
We have an e-commerce website. We would like to feature content from our blog on the site's homepage (both on same domain). The content we want to feature is latest posts titles (say 5) plus the few first lines from each post. We want search engines to be able to read this content. Is there a SEO friendly way to achieve this? Thanks in advance.

How can I get on-page analysis reports ?
I started trying out seomoz' facilities as a way to give myself a checklist of things to do-and-don't while learning SEO. Faced with a ton of new and interesting information, I started optimizing my home page and writing some content that can tell a story to people in my business. So I started using on-page analysis tools. But the campaign opening screen is telling me to wait for reports approx. two weeks. There are some reports ( not so good ones, a lot to improve ) but not the one I need most: the on-page analysis one. I set up two campaigns and I have the same problem for both. Am I doing something wrong ? Can I change my pages to make this work ?

Www vs "non" www site addresses and SEO
I first apologize for the lame question title - didn't really know how to word it... I'm having a bit of a conundrum and cannot figure out whats going on, but in the mean time I thought I would ask to see if its hurting my ranking. My site at www.ap-mg.com is built on WordPress using the Thesis them by DIY (just a little upfront info). I am very careful to make sure that all my links are in a particular format i.e. http://www.ap-mg.com - on my site, as well as other sites I have my profile on. My site also used to be hosted on the /home directory until about a month ago. My problem is that when I click on the DA MoxBar link while at my sites homepage, it takes me to Open Explorer, but to ap-mg.com and shows no results - I then add the www to the front of the address and vuala - results. But then the second issue I'm having is then it tells me that my site is redirecting the the /home directory, which its not and I'm still trying to figure that one out. So with all the craziness with my site, www, no www, /home....is this killing any chance of real ranking?

Seo'ing Sub domains for images
We are currently adding some performance improvement to our websites, to improve user experience. One of the things we are looking at is splitting of images over several sub-domains, to increase the number of images that can be downloaded at the same. We have seen that using key phrases within image names has an improvement in rankings. So, the question is should we create sub-domains as key-phrase.example.co.uk or as i1.example.co.uk? K

Do you ever forget the SEO basics?
We all get a little sloppy at times. Just yesterday , someone pointed out that I accidentally blocked the robots from one of our primary pages, because it was being included in a wildcard match on one of the disallow commands in robots.txt. Sometimes the mistakes are very basic. The one below is just too funny. I thought I would share the love. Search Google for "MD care" MD Care Inc. - Welcome<a id="LXPLSS_979677678U1">
On-Page Optimization | | irvingw</a> <cite>www.mdcarehealthplan.com/</cite> This is an SEO description that will be seen by the search engines and used in the search results. The meta keywords tag is even funnier: <meta name="keywords" content="spam, the, keywords, here, like, this, and this, good" />
