What's a good social media content creation brief template?
-
I'm trying to put together a brief template for our copywriters to use when requesting the creation of a piece of content.
These are the points I have thought of so far are:
- Subject / Topic
- Content Objective
- Desired User Outcome / Call to action
- Sources, References
- Tone of voice
- Related product information
- Target SEO keywords
Can you think of anything else to add?
Do you know good resources (articles, blog post) tackling the subject of a content creation brief?
Thanks in advance.

That's a pretty comprehensive prompt for most skilled writers I think. Tone of voice kind of covers it, but writing style might be an added factor: conversational, encyclopedic, persuasive, etc.

Article previews on social media not showing
Hi there, hoping for some help. I have a hunch but I can't be sure. Whenever I go to publish a link on social media, I no longer see previews with the featured image or relevant meta. We have changed servers lately so I think maybe somethign has gone wrong with OpenGraph? Happens on Facebook and LinkedIn.

Does social work for e-commerce?
So, social these days is hot. But is there anyone who can report some figure about a real, documented, analytically documented, success in using social for e-commerce? There's a lot of presentations like this one saying it's great, it's a big impact, etc... But how? And what about figures of sales, or traffic, or something you can measure... Which had a significant spike thanks to a social network attempt? I am asking because I tried myself to use facebook for e-commerce, and we tried a lot: like and share buttons on content (pointing to the url of the content) like and share button on homepage (linked to the fan page) regular (three times a day) content being published on fanpage, original quality content (guidelines on products, independent test), well crafted (copy including catchy questions), original images designed by a graphic designer following all facebook guideline (smiling people, plain background) facebook ad campaign to increase likes (target audience = fans of brands sold) facebook ad remarketing facebook integration on the website publishing (with user consent) product reviews, buying action, website reviews, on their wall/user-feed (all with dynamically generated images showing happy smiling faces, product bought and catchy phrase) After 6 months and around 15k euro spent the result is: above 10k likes on fanpage above 1k likes on content pages orders originated by fan page negligible (less than 10) orders originated by facebook ads negligible (less than 80 with a coverage of 2.5M users, declining through time with 75% of the orders in the first two months and less than 5 on the sixth month) orders originated by remarketing negligible (less than 10 with a coverage of 7k users) orders originated by customer reviews... so and so... 8 orders out of 300 customer reviews (coverage is unknown but 15 out of 300 would be a decent 2.5% CR even with just 300 users seeing the reviews) My conclusion is either we are really dumb at using social for e-commerce, or we wasted our time... Anyone had some experience to share?

Why does someone's FB page rank so highly?
Hi Everyone, i recently ran a non-personalized search and saw that this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/tampapersonalinjurylawyers ranked very highly for both "personal injury attorney" and "tampa personal injury attorney." The page has very few likes, and they don't even post that often. From my limited knowledge, that leaves me guessing it's because its a quasi-exact match facebook page, but that can't be right...can it? (Ranking screenshot is attached) Thanks, Ruben GO4N11x

How long until Social Spam achieves the same notoriety/problem as Link Spam used to be
What are people's thoughts on whether or not social spam will become a major problem soon, just like forum profile/blog comment spam, etc, and what do you think the search engines will do about companies that are blatantly gaming the social signals game I.E. since social proof seems to be google's answer to combating anchor text manipulation and content farms, what do you think will be google's answer to combating the rampant social spam that will surely overtake us.

Anyone have a great example of a confirmation page with a social element?
We're thinking of adding social elements to our confirmation page, which as of right now doesn't ask for any specific action. Might as well take advantage. i.e. "Tweet this" or "Share this" with a shortened link to the landing page. Does anyone have any great examples of Twitter/Facebook being incorporated into a confirmation page? Visually pleasing, striking, great copy? It can be a confirmation for any type of action, whether you've just bought something, subscribed to something, joined a site, anything really.
