Way to Avoid Local Results in Keyword Difficulty Tool
-
I'm trying to use the Keyword Difficulty Tool to research some keywords. However, I keep getting local Seattle results in the SERPs. For example, if I search for "guitar lessons". At least 4 of the 10 results seem to be Seattle based (I guess because of SEOMoz ip addresses). Is there a way to eliminate local results?

Hey nixforsix,
I'm really sorry you're seeing those local results in the Keyword Difficulty tool. There's not a way to prevent that from happening at the moment, but I'll pass the issue on to our team and we'll try to come up with a fix as soon as we can. Thanks for letting us know! Feel free to shoot over other tech support questions to help@seomoz.org. Cheers,
Aaron

How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ Campaigns?
Good morning Mozzers from the London, England. This may be a silly question to many of the community, but here goes "How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ campaigns?" I work in the gyms section in the UK and am tracking keywords like "Gyms in Liverpool" or "Manchester gyms" which send me some traffic. I can see search terms like the above do send me traffic from Google's Webmaster Tools, but obviously this tool won't highlight the keyword opportunities I am missing out on because I currently don't rank. Any guidance on this dilemma would be hugely appreciated, Kindest regards Ben

Could client be skewing search results?
I'm working with a client that is searching Google numerous times per day for various phrases that his site may rank for. A lot of these he uses the same search phrase multiple times/day to see if there is any change. Unfortunately, these are not the phrases I have optimized his site for. Moz is now displaying some of these search phrases along with associated pages and grading them as F - because they are not optimized for these phrases. Is it possible that my client caused this by doing the searches? If I already have particular pages grading an A for the targeted term chosen, should I attempt to add elements to move the F to a better position for the new keyword phrase being suggested? (I always thought you should target one page/phrase. Thanks!!

Is there a tool on Moz or out on the internet that does bad link checker
I'm still pretty new to this and I was wondering if there is a free software, one of Moz or free out on the the internet that allows you to check bad links. I've done a lot of link building with citations and directories that for my clients industry. I just don't want to add their website and profile to a bad/risky directory and it penalizes my clients. I've seen a few out there, but I need one that is respectable and reliable. Any suggestions? I found one called bad neighborhood http://www.bad-neighborhood.com/text-link-tool.htm. Google+ Local Business Page not appearing
I have a local verified google + listing and recently just went to update it nicely. even though it has been around for months, however Google just can't seem to index it, does anybody know the reason why? I have tried " hard-searching" for it and it is not even indexed! However if i find hard enough, it will appear in google maps, and also my domain has been around for months, if not a year however under Moz Open Site explorer it indicates it is a super new domain and even alexa is not recognizing any data even though it has traffic. The only thing i have done is i have shifted servers two months ago. Does that translate to a new site? I hope not...

Pass Page LinkJuice? Or Pass Keyword LinkJuice?
I have a popular page that is not one of the three pages that I am hoping to raise awareness of (want to focus on). The dilemma I am trying to understand is that I really don't want to encourage all the flow from the popular to ONE of my hopeful pages (focus pages). Rather, I want to focus the keyword portions of that page to help the three hopeful pages. So I consider the rel=canonical tag.... err no. rel=canonical would pass ALL my popular page link juice to ONE of my three hopeful pages. What's the best way to pass the keyword link juice relevant to each of my three hopeful pages their, um, portion, of the popular page link juice. I'm white hat by preference. All four pages are good legitimate landing pages, and of course I dread sabotaging the popularity of what is working. Suggestions? Advice?
