Is is better to write something on Squidoo or do a guest post?

I've got a blog that has a good follower count, moz score, twitter fan base and PR offer to let me do a guest post, as long as the approve it. Is it better to do that vs. a Lens on Squidoo? I'm thinking the blog post would be best but Squidoo has huge domain authority. Would that get the content out there more and hopefully get others to link to it?
And yes I know I should be writing something for both. I probably will but let's just pretend I'm not going to. I'm like everyone else, too little time and too much to do.

I would focus more on Guest blog posts for multiple reasons.
1. You get a contextual, relevant link, if the blog is within your niche.
2. The referral traffic from the blog can be more powerful than the link equity you receive from the post
3. The relationship you build with the guest blogging approach is priceless and can only lead to bigger and better things.
Squidoo can be extremely effective in certain niches for driving real traffic. For my niche, it took me a 2-3 hours to prep a nice Squidoo lens which does shockingly well at driving traffic to my site. The Page Authority (Moz) also shot up to 62PA relatively quick, so that's an extra perk. The real value on Squidoo is creating content that delivers people to your site, not so much for getting a boost from the Domain's authority.

Squidoo, and indeed HubPages are great, I use the frequently and as you kind of picked up already yes the real answer is you should look at both guest blogs and Squidoo lenses. The one thing you should focus on here is relativity i.e. how relevant is the blog and it's audience to your market. If there is a real opportunity of a great blog to guest blog on, I would jump on it. Google is placing a lot more emphasis on relativity and of course understands that anyone can add to Squidoo with it begin an open platform.There is always tomorrow for Squidoo, it's not going anywhere, so I would take any quality distinguishable exposure you can get.

Main Nav Redirects Issue: Unnecessary Evil or Better Solution
Hi, I'm somewhat stumped on the best course of action for our navigation menu. Our site is "divided" into two areas; informational and transactional. Because of compliance, transnational users have to be geo targeted; therefore, we serve them a specific page (we have 6 different regions: uk, aus, eu, etc). If users visit informational side, it's not geo specific. Example: https://site/charts https://site/uk/money Within our main nav, we don't specify the geo transaction page and use a generic https://site/money/ (page doesn't exist) then when a user clicks that link, we'll detect their location and serve up a 301 redirect to the correct geo page. This has obviously caused a ton load of unnecessary redirects and a waste of powerful link equity from the header of the site. It's been recommended to dynamically change the linked URL in this header based on the location of the user. That sounds good but what about Google? Since we can't detect Google crawler IP, we would have to pick a default geo URL like /uk/money. If we do that, the other regional URLs suffer link equity. How do we minimize redirects and make Google happy for all our geo pages. Hope this makes sense and thanks for your time!

Lazy Loading of Blog Posts and Crawl Depths
Hi Moz Fans, We are looking at our blog and improving the content as much as we can for SEO purposes, but we have hit a bit of a blank in terms of lazy loading implications and issues with crawl depths. We introduced lazy loading onto the blog home page to increase site speed initially and it works well with infinite scroll, but we were wondering whether this would cause any issues regarding SEO. A lot of the resources online seem to be conflicting and some are very outdated, so some clarification on what is best in terms of lazy loading and crawl depths for blogs, would be fantastic! What is better for web ranking? A domain or subdomain?
I realise that often it is better put content in a subfolder rather than a subdomain, but I have another question that I cannot seem to find the answer to. Is there any ranking benefit to having a site on a .co.uk or .com domain rather than on a subdomain? I'm guessing that the subdomain might benefit from other content on the domain it's hosted on, but are subdomains weighted down in any way in the search results?

Very Slow Recovery after Manual Penalty Removed - Are we missing something?
Our site was handed a manual penalty in November 2013 where exact match anchor text and low quality directory submissions seemed to be the problem. We began the process of link removal, reconfiguration and disavowing. We had already planned to change our domain in early 2014 to coincide with our SSL certificate renewal and although we were hesitant to do this with the manual penalty still there we proceeded and 301'd most of the site but left the pages that were the landing page for most of the exact match links as 302 to the new domain. We continued to work on removing the manual penalty for the old domain as we didn't want it to pass over to the new one and eventually this was removed n March 2014 Now the penalty is gone are we safe to change those 302 redirects to 301 so everything redirects. The problem we have is that six months on, a lot of the pages for the old domain are still indexed and even though we are indexed for the new domains are rankings haven't recovered. Is it just a case of needing to build up a new quality link profile to replace the links that were disregarded or removed when recovering from the penalty or we missing something else

Hi, Login required pages that redirect back to the post get the same description Example http://www.Somesite.com/modal/register?destination=post title Every post when a non member sees it has links that are as above post title is the only difference in the URL's So these Meta descriptions 1,000's of them are same.
