Hello Zeeshan
Duplicate web pages is most certainly an issue. If Seomoz is finding the problem you can bet Google is as well. The problem is when you present duplicate information the search engines have trouble ranking the correct page. So it is always recommended to remove or fix any duplicate problems.
There are 2 kinds of duplicate web pages ->
Duplicate Content
Duplicate Tags (Title / Description)Duplicate content happens when you copy paste content from one page to another. Basically re-using the same paragraphs text images etc. over and over.
Duplicate Tags happen when a page has the same title or description tag as another page. This usually is the result of websites that create pages dynamically or use $_GET methods. Typically if you have duplicate tag warnings you also have a duplicate content problem since the page is just re-created as a different url.
If you only have a duplicate content problem then you can simply write unique content for each page. This includes images, alt text, headers (h1, h2, h3, h4...)
If you have duplicate tag issues then you need to look at the website ascertain if the problem is a because of the website generating multiple urls with the same content or if somebody has simply used the title / description tags in 2 or more places.
If the problem is because of dynamic URL's then you may fix them by using rel="canonical', prev or next meta tags. CodingStuff put a good link to the appropriate page. here.
If the problem is just the same tag in 2 or more places change one.
Please note after any fix the crawlers will need some time to re-crawl your site, this usually is the following week.

Hi Zeeshan
Are you saying that you have found duplicate pages on your site or that SEOmoz is reporting duplicate pages that you cannot find?
However if you are simply asking is duplicate content is an issue? then here is your answer - http://www.seomoz.org/blog/duplicate-content-in-a-post-panda-world

Duplicate pages on wordpress
I am doing SEO on a site which is running on WP. And it has all pages and categories duplicates on domain.com/site/ However, as it got crawled I saw that all domain.com/ pages have rel=canonical with main page tag (does it mean something?). Thing is I will fix permalinks structure and I think WP automatically redirects if it is changed from /?page_id= to /%category%/%postname%/ or /%postname%/ Isn't there something I miss? Second problems is a forum. After a crawl it found over 5k errors and over 5k warnings. Those are: Duplicate page content; Duplicate page title; Overly-Dynamic URLs; Missing Meta descr; Title Element too long. All those come from domain.com/forum/ (fortunately, there are no domain.com/site/forum duplicates). What could be an easy solution to this?

Duplicate page titles
Hi, I have a Joomla 2.5 site and I use categoryblogs. So I have a page with "reviews". All the reviews are shown on this page and there are about 15 pages of it. In my SEOMoz crawl result I get 71 errors ! about "duplicate titles". How can I diminish this? I don't know how to show all the reviews in a proper way other than what I have accomplished with categoryblog. Patrick

After fixing duplicate pages problem - keyword rankings have fallen off a cliff!
We have recently signed up to SEOMOZ and found that our site had over 2,500 duplicated pages. We reported it the the web designer and they found links on the website to an old prototype version of the website and so they did a SQL run to get rid of them. Doing this got rid of 90% of them. However, this morning, moz has just done another crawl of our website and our keyword rankings have fallen off a cliff. Particularly, important one that we were at position 1 for. We are now on the fifth page. Can anyone shed any light on it? Will this be temporary? Thanks Stuart

How can you avoid duplicate content within your own e-commerce website
One of the e-commerce websites I am working on is giving me a lot of duplicate content errors because all of the products are the same, just different sizes. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem or should i just ignore it? Someone in the office brought up the idea to just use an i frame for all product descriptions. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Duplicate content issue index.html vs non index.html
Hi I have an issue. In my client's profile, I found that the "index.html" are mostly authoritative than non "index.html", and I found that www. version is more authoritative than non www. The problem is that I find the opposite situation where non "index.html" are more authoritative than "index.html" or non www more authoritative than www. My logic would tell me to still redirect the non"index.html" to "index.html". Am I right? and in the case I find the opposite happening, does it matter if I still redirect the non"index.html" to "index.html"? The same question for www vs non www versions? Thank you

Database Driven Websites: Crawling and Indexing Issues
Hi all - I'm working on an SEO project, dealing with my first database-driven website that is built on a custom CMS. Almost all of the pages are created by the admin user in the CMS, pulling info from a database. What are the best practices here regarding SEO? I know that overall static is good, and as much static as possible is best, but how does Google treat a site like this? For instance, lets say the user creates a new page in the CMS, and then posts it live. The page is rendered and navigable, after putting together the user-inputed info (the content on the page) and the info pulled from the database (like info pulled out to create the Title tag and H1 tags, etc). Is this page now going to be crawled successfully and indexed as a static page in Google's eyes, and thus ok to start working on rank for, etc? Any help is appreciated - thanks!
