How would you promote a "Literary Contest"?
-
Let's say that you are organizing a "literary contest".
How to select the portals/websites where to ask you to insert the advertising/posts in order to promote the contest?
We are trying to do this:
- Estimate the keyword volume with AdWords
- Make a search with that keywords and filter by Authority domain (SEOmoz bar extension)
- Manually select the portals (copy-paste in a spreadsheet)
What about Twitter and Facebook?
Do you have any advice?
Many Thanks!

So, I'm going to throw out some ideas for contest promotion that should apply broadly to what you're doing... First step is to figure out audience so you know where to target. There are a billion mommy blogs that will promote contests but if it's not the right audience for your contest than it's a waste of time.
Figuring out the audience will dictate where you go to promote the contest. I'd start out simple - Google "literary contests" and see what comes up - you might get a few places you can email and tell about the contest that would be willing to write about it, or share with their social media pages and newsletter. Then move on to similar queries like "list of literary contests", "writing contests", etc.
Your question mentions doing keyword research for kwd volume. I'm not sure how that would apply to contest promotion? Overall I think you have the right idea in manually doing research into different outlets.

Google showing different links in SERPs
Google search results are showing my site links in both URLs, "mydomain.com" and "https://mydomain.com". However the one with https is showing a favicon, and the other one is not. So i wanna keep the https one and remove the other one. I went to GSC to submit "mydomain.com" for removal and it said that URL will be deleted in ALL of its variations. So how do i delete the "mydomain.com" links? Should i just index the ones with https again? Would that work? Someone suggested me to do 301 redirect on all pages that are being displayed twice. But i am not sure if i need to do that since i am using squarespace, and both of the links lead to the same page?

Getting indexed by Google scholar
Often my Google Scholar alerts result in exactly what I think they will: scholarly articles published in academic journals. However, today I got this completely non-scholarly article https://www.t-nation.com/training/the-exact-reps-that-make-you-grow and I have no idea why Google Scholar is indexing this site. I've read up on how to get indexed by Google Scholar, and this website doesn't seem to have the necessary requirements. I'm curious for anyone whose clients or industry need to get indexed by Google Scholar, what has worked for you?

Site "Internal" Search Full-Text Indexing vs. Manual Tagging
I’m looking for recommendations on how to power site search in an efficient way. Ideally, I would like to get recommendations on platforms, tools, trends, technology and resources. This discussion does not really refer to SEO or site search optimization. It is more related to the technology used to power site search. I would like to get an idea on the differences between full-text indexing site search and site search that requires manual tagging.

"&" in search for site:domain.com
Hi, a few days ago we talked to a seo agency. They told us something about the "site:" search, that we hadn't heard before.

As they told us, a search for "site:domain.com/&" would give you the number of relevant pages that Google indexed for your domain. We tested this search with some domains. Lots of the results showed up to 25% less indexed pages, than the search for site:domain.com/ Has anyone heard of this before, or is it just a sales gimmick?0 -
Best way to prevent "Duplicate Content" for different links
We are working on job portal domain. As we know jobs going to be expired day by day. I will give you my question by example. Example: I have two links [mysite.com/Jobs-In-Cincinnati and mysite.com/Jobs-In-Atlanta]. Before month I had too many jobs on both the links. Jobs were expired one by one after two/three months I don't have any jobs on both the links. So I got same page content on both the links like "please refine search". Google consider these two pages as duplicate content issue. Will you please suggest which is the best way to come out from it? Thanks in advance.

Google crawled "Cross Domain" links. Is this an issue? if yes then how we can remove it?
We have two sites. One site for US (site.com)and another is for India(site.co.in). Redirection is working based on ip address and location. So if I write US(site.com) site link in India location then it will automatically redirect to India site(site.co.in). We have given a link in the header of the site which will be used to open another country site. Example : Currently India site open in my browser so it contain US site link. and US site open in my browser so it contain India site link. We check on google web master and we found back links of cross domains so Is it an issue?
