My homepage is not getting indexed by google for some reason
-
My homepage http://www.truebluelifeinsurance.com is not indexed by google. The rest of my site is indexed.
The hompage is indexed by bing. I looked in the webmaster tools and there is no indication why.
I believe the issue started when I did a site re-design in August.
Any ideas?

Hi,
May i know How did you solve you website indexing problem?
I am facing the same problem with my website.
Thank you.
-
I can see it indexed. Looks like the problem is resolved.
-
Any update on this? Are you seeing your site indexed by Google yet? What is GWT saying?
-
If it does not resolve itself and by the sounds of it, it should have by now. There is always the option of contacting John Mueller at Google. There will be a Hangout Q&A this Friday where you can ask that exact question. You can post your question to him right now at http://www.google.com/moderator/?#15/e=203709&t=203709.7c&f=203709.6c6f70 and he will get to it live.
Sometimes when there are weird issues, John is a great resource as he has all the inside tech to check a problem.
He has helped me many times before.

There shouldn't be any problems with the robots.txt file as far as blocking the homepage in Google, especially since the homepage is indexed in Bing and both crawlers abide by the robots.txt.

Could it be this content in my robot.txt file?

I did not change domains with the re-design. The sitemap is a mistake and from another site I own.
-
Interesting. That is a mistake. I have deleted the sitemaps on the site.
-
I have done this already today in the webmaster tools. I should have definitely been indexed by now as it has not been indexed for months.
-
Did you change domains when you did a site redesign? I noticed your sitemap has URLs from a completely different domain name so that may have something to do with it - http://www.truebluelifeinsurance.com/sitemap.xml. I'd make sure to change the sitemap and then set your preferred domain name in Google Webmaster Tools.
-
Have you given it enough time to get crawled? You can also submit it to Google webmaster tools to get crawled.

Little odd I must admit but I'm sure someone around here will get to the bottom of it

I'VE DONE EVERYTHING RIGHT BUT STILL GET LOW GOOGLE RANKING
Moz Pro Dashboard compared my site to three competitors' site. My site is better in every aspect. My DA is higher, I have four times more external links, I have more relevant content than my competition, my site also is the fastest, I have solved all redirect issues, there is no broken link internally or externally. We are custom home builders. So all our sites have numerous full screen images. I have optimized all of them. When I ran WebPageTest on my competition, they all fail. My site got A's in all categories. The three competitors' sites rank first, second and third. My site ranks bottom on the 2nd page. Since my site was online last January, I have spent thousands of dollars on SEO work. Its url is www.pokudesign.com I am hoping somebody can point me in the right direction. I am attaching a screen shot of my Moz Pro Dashboard. frEpZ

I'm sure you get this all the time but....
Hi New to Moz, I'm finding it all very helpful and daunting at the same time. I've read heaps of Seo the Moz content and watched every Video I can find. It's all going well and I've managed to get A's on some of my pages, I was hoping some one cold tell me why this site (Link to screan grab http://tinypic.com/r/dnj9di/8 ) is way above me in the Google search results? It appears to be under performing me in Moz but in actual fact it is greatly out performing me in Google. Any insights are more than gratefully received! Thanks Ben

How do I find out which pages are being indexed on my site and which are not?
Hi, I doing my first technical audit on my site. I am learning how to do an audit as i go and am a lost. I know some page won't be indexed but how do I: 1. Check the site for all pages, both indexed and not indexed 2. Run a report to show indexed pages only (i am presuming i can do this via screaming Frog or webmaster tool) 3. I can do a comparison between the two list and work out which pages are not being indexed. I'll then need to figure out way. I'll cross this bridge once i get to it Thanks Ben

Does Google have a direct link with facebook and twitter?
Google monitor social media. What I'm wondering is do Google use the same tools we have on Facebook's API, Twitter's API etc to use in their SERPs Or do Facebook grant Google more detailed access to see who has liked links etc. I think it's quite an interesting point as surely I can push up my own count by repeatedly sharing my own links, which wouldn't be genuine. If Google had better access they could then determine what's been faked etc.

Will canonical tag get rid of duplicate page title errors?
I have a directory on my website, paginated in groups of 10. On page 2 of the results, the title tag is the same as the first page, as it is on the 3rd page and so on. This is giving me duplicate page title errors. If i use rel=canonical tags on the subsequent pages and href the first page of my results, will my duplicate page title warnings go away? thanks.

Using MOZ Keyword Rankings with Google Analytics in Excel to track paid keywords
Hi, I sorted my keywords in GA from highest incoming traffic to lowest, exported it and then imported these 280 or something keywords into SEO Moz. The problem is, it appears that SEO Moz Keyword Rankings tool pulls traffic data (in the traffic column) only for NON-PAID traffic ... So what I'm seeing is that keywords that brings A LOT of traffic to my site (because of AdWords) sometimes have 0 of traffic in SEO Moz, because I'm on page 3 of SERP and I literally got no non-paid traffic that week. The thing is: I want to improve my rankings for keywords that I'm already performing well, even if they are paid keywords, because they already bring me a lot of traffic to my website. The way this is working is not helping me out, because when I sort by the traffic column very important keywords end up in the last place for me. Questions: Whey does SEO Moz pull traffic data from non-paid keywords only ? Shouldn't be at least an option for this or I'm missing something here ? While they don't change it, any Excel Gurus could help me how to export SEO Moz ranking data, import it on Excel and MERGE a new "paid traffic" column that I export from Google Analytics ? How to assing each keyword line the paid traffic value I'm getting from GA ? Thanks ! Felipe
