Getting Redirect Loops in MOZ using Chrome
-
Been getting bizarre Redirect Loops from Chrome after I log-in to MOZ. Has anyone had something like this happen? I've tried clearing cache, rebooting, etc. but no luck. Thanks in advance!
-
Thanks Peter! Much appreciated for opening the ticket.
I just tried logging in now, and it happened again. So hopefully Moz fix the issue. Clearning cookies browser wide isn't an acceptable fix for me as I then lose my Google two-authentication cookies which is a pain.

To be honest Michael I have just been using the method I described above to logout before logging back in again.
I remember reading another Q&A thread where it was reported and someone from Moz responded but maybe they are not aware it is still an issue for some users.
So to hopefully get this resolved I have just sent a support ticket to Moz. It feels like there is a session cookie being stored that isn't being cleared properly and that maybe why moz.com/logout works, but hopefully they will get on to it and get it sorted.
Meantime use the moz.com/logout cure as that always works for me.
I hope that helps, Peter

That did the trick, thanks!
Are moz.com aware of this issue? Having just signed up for a pro-account, it's an incredible turn-off.

Hi Michael
What happens if you put moz.com/logout into your address bar (needs to be lowercase) and hit enter. Does that clear the issue?
This problem has been ongoing for a while but I find doing the above does reset and allows me to then login successfully.

Same issue here. However I'm using Safari/Mac and have just signed up for a pro account and unable to login.
Clearing Cookies isn't working for Safari, however it did work for Firefox.
The error I'm getting is Too many redirects occurred trying to open "analytics.moz.com/pro/home". Loops like your login authentication scheme has an enormous redirect loop as I'm hitting it every time I attempt to login.

Hey Miriam and Danny,
This definitely sounds like a cookies issue. If Peter's solution doesn't work for you, I would recommend making sure you clear the cookies from a few weeks back or even for all time, since I know my settings default to only clearing the cookies from the last few hours.
If you are still experiencing the issue after you've tried these solutions, it would be really helpful if you could send a support request here: http://moz.com/help/contact so we can have our engineers look into the issue further.

Hi Miriam
Yes, it does seem to be cookie related, but if you put moz.com/logout into your address bar and hit enter that seems to clear the session cookie that is causing the issue.
It may be quicker to do that and less destructive to other cookies you have active which you may not want to be cleared.

I've experienced similar. I'll try the cookie solution, and I hope one of our Help Team members will stop by to comment on this, as well.

Hi Danny
Yes the same. As Jesse said, it seems to be cookie related. It was happening earlier in the week too then there seemed to be a day when it was OK, now it's back.
I think it's caused when your login times out because of inactivity, but when you try to login again then the cookie thinks you are still logged in and so you never get taken to the login screen.
I have been clearing it by entering moz.com/logout into the address bar.

Yes this happened to me just moments ago. I cleared my cookies and it's back to working now.

How to authenticate Moz crawler so that others don't use Rogerbot useragent to scrape data from our site?
Is there any way to authenticate genuine Moz crawler. Because, our website keeps getting scrapping attacks and if there is no way to authenticate Moz crawler, then, any scraper can just set user agent as Rogerbot and scrape all our pages. Is there a fixed IP that can be used or any other customization that will help us authenticate and allow only Moz crawler to crawl our site. Looking forward to a solution to this problem. We haven't been able to use Moz crawler due to this issue.

Trending Bugs in Moz Analytics

Whenever your account is suspended, your campaigns are archived. The good news is that reviving archived accounts is really simple. Go to your Campaigns section: http://pro.moz.com/campaigns
At the top of the page there is a "Archived Campaigns" Tab, give it a click.
From here, you should easily be able to "activate" your campaigns. My Google Analytics profile won’t stay connected to my campaign and/or I am missing profiles in my GA Settings. Google goes through a process called Oauth when it comes to authorizing access of services that are linked to your Google account. Under any single Google account, there are about 20 tokens account wide. Those tokens are used to provide access for a variety of services from Gmail to apps on your phone. Once you hit the limit, which is 20 for most users, the system automatically revokes the oldest token to provide a new one. I'm not certain if this is causing the issue on your account, but it is a great place to start troubleshooting. You may be able to correct the issue by manually revoking your tokens to make room for new ones on your account and then reconnecting the account to Moz. Here are the instructions on how to do that: Follow this link https://accounts.google.com/b/0/IssuedAuthSubTokens. This page displays the current OAuth tokens you are using. Once you reach the page, simply press the revoke button (illustrated on this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/vjh3KrjRRIe) for services that you are not using right now. Once you are done with, that simply go back to your campaign settings, disconnect your GA profile and reconnect. The below process may also fix this issue for you. Head to your campaign settings page on your overview page. Disconnect your Google Analytics connection. Go back to your settings page and click on "connect account." Please make sure you log into the correct GA account. 🙂 Hurray! This should let you grab the most current traffic data! Oops! try refreshing page! I can’t access any of my Campaign data.
This issue is normally machine specific and can be a bit complex. An individual forum has been created to address this: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/28203486-Oops-Try-Refreshing-the-Page-Error-showing-on-all-pages- Unable to retrieve historical ranking CSVs. Some users did not receive their requested Historical Rankings CSVs. This has mostly been affected by a change or update to your competitors after a campaign has been setup for a while. Link Detox or I can use Open Site Explorer for tracking down bad links?
Here's the thing. I need to find bad external links pointing to my site. Is Link Detox the only option or I can actually use Open Site Explorer for that. If OSE is an option, please give me an idea how I need to go about it. Thanks.

Is the Moz Rank Tracker Broken?
Hi, I've waited a few days for data to appear in the account but all of the keywords show 'not in top 50'. When I know this isn't the case since I can see half of them myself either on page one or two (yes I have cleared cache / history and have tried an incognito window to see the results for myself; I have even tried another PC. Also I'm really not keen on the new layout of the pro account, everything is so much smaller event the text. Personally I think it doesn't look half as clean and simple as it used to. Another thing, the link analysis tab isn't showing all of my links - it's only showing 2! Which is way off, even when I check with Open Site Explorer there are a lot more than that. Thanks Ricky
