When using Moz Pro do I want Google-UK or -GB as default and why?
-
Hi.
When using Moz Pro, I always select Google UK as default search with GB and US next.
Is there a reason to choose one over the other? If so why?
I am UK based and so are my clients.
Thanks
-
In seminar it has been confirmed that Google GB and UK are the same and are there for historical customers.

Hi,
It is now 3 years since this post but en-UK and en-GB are still in the dropdown menus. I have selected en-UK for Google, Google Mobile and Yahoo BUT Bing only gives en-GB as option.
I assume it is ok but could someone confirm?
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,
Pam

Hi there! My name is Erin, and I'm on the Moz Help Team. Thanks for reaching out, and I appologize for the confusion. This came to our attention back in May, and one of our Product Managers wrote an answer to another Q&A about it as well. Basically both Google GB and Google UK map to google.co.uk, and this is just a funny bug on our end. When you create your campaign choose google.co.uk .
I hope this helps, and let us know if you have any other questions!
Cheers,
Erin

You also forgot some of the smaller islands around England like new jersey - I would assume the same thing that UK is a larger area than GB
-
Well there is no google.gb !. I'm in N.Ireland so out side GB but in UK, as my search results are full of GB only stuff unless it local results ( very frustrating), so that made me assume google doesn't differentiate between GB and UK in its search results, buy maybe I'm wrong.
I think a Moz staff member is going to have to clear this up for us.
-
GB is just England, Wales and Scottland.
UK also includes parts of Northern Ireland as well as all of GB.I imagine there wouldn't be much difference in those results, however I'm just a yank.
-
The GB has been there since I have been a member (over 12 months).
I assumed the same thats why I select -UK.
Nothing major, some slight differences in rank but if they are just the same or not needed I will select a different search instead of GB.
-
I have never noticed GB before, so I wonder if its a new thing. I assumed "UK" was google.co.uk so I'm not sure what difference GB is ( according to google, not geographically).
Do you notice any difference between UK an GB rank results?

Moz and HubSpot SSL - crawl error?
I'm getting an error message when Moz tries to crawl my site, however when I check in Google Search Console, they return no errors. Our site is hosted on HubSpot. Is Moz still having trouble crawling HubSpot sites that have enabled their SSL? I read an article that this should have been corrected in early 2017, but I'm getting an error.

How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ Campaigns?
Good morning Mozzers from the London, England. This may be a silly question to many of the community, but here goes "How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ campaigns?" I work in the gyms section in the UK and am tracking keywords like "Gyms in Liverpool" or "Manchester gyms" which send me some traffic. I can see search terms like the above do send me traffic from Google's Webmaster Tools, but obviously this tool won't highlight the keyword opportunities I am missing out on because I currently don't rank. Any guidance on this dilemma would be hugely appreciated, Kindest regards Ben

What Is he Difference Between Google UK and Google Great Britain
When setting up a campaign for keywords and selected search engines. I am targeting a UK market so obviously Google.co.uk is my main target. However when I set up the campaign i select Google as the SE but it asks me if I want United Kingdom or Great Britain. I selected United Kingdom and it has been returning 0 results for rankings even though I can physically see them in the SERPS. Does anyone know exactly what is the difference between the UK and GB options. I assume I should of specified GB but not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How do you use SEOmoz
I'm a newbie here. I've got a week left on my free trail. I really like SEOmoz, I might even love it a bit. 🙂 I'm trying to justify the cost. I usually don't spend money on my Internet Marketing. I've done it through finally buying some tools to help me get there. Massive change in the last year. I'm a long ways from getting rich YET though. 🙂 I've gone from $30 a month to $1000 a month in a year. So I think I'm on my way now. I'm trying to figure out why I should continue my subscription and actually start paying for it. If I were a developer I can certainly see why but the cost would so go way up. 🙂 I'm in the lowest level package with only five websites. I have 10 I'm working on. I know that's probably five to many at one time. I'm having a little trouble justifying the cost at this time. At my income level $100 a month is significant. I can see the value of seeing where my competition has backlinks. Sometimes my competition is Cnet. haha Well, I can beat them on a specific page at times. Hmm, can I search the URL list for links? Perhaps i can if I export it. That didn't occur to me. Now that could be of use if I can find my keywords. If their link is on Amazon though, I'm going to have trouble getting a link there. 🙂 Maybe I should work on less competitive links but I made good money last month with one page that was beating them. WAS beating them. How do you use SEOmoz? How do you justify the cost, that is offset the expense. If its not making me money i don't see the value. I can get a lot of this information for free but it sure is easier to get it here. Which saves me time. And the other tool i use isn't that good and not always reliable and slow. I've got a week left on my free trail. I had decided to let it go but now I'm reconsidering. $100 is a lot for me and I need to spend more on SEO outsourcing. I wonder if I wouldn't be better off dropping it for a while and then coming back. This certainly isn't mean to be a critical post at all. I'm looking for reasons to stay and make better use of it. Thanks for the thoughts, Rusty

Seo Moz for Clients
One thing I recently pondered following the introduction of logos on reports bringing that level of personalisation for the customers is ... would it be somehow possible to take it a step further and have a login on your own personal site that could somehow enable clients to download and look at the information as and when they wanted. An almost mini sep moz for clients where customers login through your own site ?

Why does SEOMoz Pro only do Rankings Once a Week?
Not sure I understand why the SEOMoz PRO report of rankings only occurs once a week? Any ideas? Seems like it would be easy to just pull that ranking report at any time.
